Here we go. I'm going to try to make this example as straight forward as possible.

Player 1: Kurai
HP: 200
Trance style chosen: Reckless fighting

Player 2: Ky
HP: 200
Trance style chosen: Spigel Style

and lets Say Kurai gets to go first.

(Turn 1)

Ok.

This is going to be Kurai's turn. He can do the following since its his first attack:


  • Attack
  • Special attack


Lets pick attack and see how much we can hit Ky with. Now we just do a simple RP (don't use my RPs here as examples these are going to be BSed XP)

And then we choose post action and select Roll dice pick 10 sided dice and put in 2 for number of dice. This will let you roll two 10 sided dice. The amount needed to caculate a basic attack option.

Ky: 200/200 HP, 10/10 Tech Points
(Turn 1)

At first i Did not display Ky's damage yet. I will Display Ky's damage afterwards i see the result of the dice roll.

As we just saw. Kurai got a nice firm roll of a 17. Ky's options are:


  • Attack
  • Defend and attack
  • Specialty skills


Lets Pick Defend and attack just for kicks. Now once again we will RP out Kys action in the star brackets.

Obviously we don't know the results however though. So we will have to roll the dice first and then come back to edit this post.

As you can see. Ky has gotten a 10 and a 4. totalling up in 14.

and as we all learned in school. 14 is less then 17. therefore Ky's defense fail.

HOWEVER Since one of Ky's dice got a 10. which is bigger then one number of Kurai's dice. Ky can use that 10 to cancel out one of Ky's result.

From the rules it states that we have to cancel out the weakest dice of Kurai's roll. Which would be 8

This will make Ky's total damage recieved 9 instead of 17
This will result in:

Ky: 191/200 HP, 10/10 Tech Points

During this post you should also post up the finish off of the RP since you now know the result of your defensive rolled results.

Ky's turn is not over yet. he still has to attack back from his Defend and attack decision. Therefore the person defending gets to post again rolling one 10 sided die to see how much attack your character will try to throw back.

Lets begin shall we?
