Salmoneus sprung forward to meet Betta in the air deflecting a good part of the damage away from herself. That didn't seem to do much good though as the green serpent was sent back against he wall, the small pair could feel the end of the fight drawing near as both Salmoneus and Kasandra were coming to the end of their endurance. Huffing as she drew closer to Mikan, Kasandra clenched one of her fists together aiming them at the boy.

Mikan flinched, quite surprised by the sudden attack while he was passing his fingers over the card again, but thankfully he avoided her fist almost a little too late. Stumbling on his feet, he fell backwards on his butt, his one hand clenched around his card, the other covering his front for any other attack. "W-w-wait!" he shouted, trying to move away from the girl hastily. "T-this is not a fist fight! W-what do you hope to gain from punching me?!". Despite all his praises for the girl's energetic nature, this was actually getting kind of scary. He couldn't remember the last time someone tried to hit him and he didn't want to remember it either.
Then, before he knew it, Betta was already in front of him and glaring at Kasandra. He knew Betta wouldn't try to harm her, but at least he would protect him from this girl.

Kasandra staggered on her feet as her 'well aimed' punch missed, she really was loosing her ability to continue moving. It was probably due to her lack of stamina from studying the schoolbooks so hard, she would have to work on that in her spare time is she even had a chance of keeping up in a fight. Turning so she was facing Mikan she prepared for another well aimed fist before she took a step back with a wince. Either she was becoming accustomed to the pain or the attack hadn't hit as hard as it would normally have hit her.
Re correcting her balance to follow through with the aimed punch, Kasandra found herself pulling it back. Salmoneus stood between both her and Betta who stood well in front of Mikan. Blasted, she thought, how did they have to get in the way. Thankfully after the first punch had missed Mikan much of the young womans anger was starting to ebb away with her exhaustion.

Moving back as hastily as he could, afraid the girl might find her way to him to try and punch him again, Mikan thought it was about time to finish this fast. He called out to Betta and used the strongest attack he could, hoping it would be do enough damage, so that with the next attack, this would be over. He pushed to the back of his mind to ask Masakaki if there was no way to refuse a 'meaningless' deal, without having to give up half his fortune.
