"A..few weeks at the most." Bane said moving closer to Aodhand as he spoke tucking his one hand into his bell sleeve to try and emulate the look of a modest monk. His face seemingly plagued with worry. As he fidgeted to look anxious to the knight. "I have." Bane said cussing inwardly that other male was much smarter then this one and could possibly ruin everything if they were friends. "I will take you to him, but will you do me one last thing honorable knight sir. To put my mind at ease will you make it a promise to me that you will help my people. And through a binding ritual passed down in my clan from generation to generation seal pact to help me get the herbs needed." Bane asked as he pulled out one of his more decorative bottles holding an aged bottle of moonseed and hemlock wine. One he could drink, but certainly not one that would fair well on Aodhan's stomach it would likely kill him with in a horribly painful hour.

Kian had finished examining all the plants, well, as close as he could get to them. Mostly, he'd used large leaves to smash some of the herbs to get their juices and test them on some bugs nearby. When he saw a fat ladybug practically dissolve, he decided what was going on here was a bit...interesting. Not that he'd get in the way certainly! But he did have to be wary of this druid.
That's when Kian heard the shouting. Aodhan was here? Already? His eyes narrowed as he listened to the knight make so much noise! He turned around, following that voice. While they'd been broken up for awhile now, Kian assumed Aodhan hadn't truly gotten over the witch eater, and why would he? Kian was just so alluring. Of course, that was mostly flattery upon oneself, a bit self-obsessed, one could say.
Still though, Kian felt a bit, sad, for his breakup with Aodhan. Yet it had been necessary. They would have to kill each other one day if they kept going that path, and Kian knew he was no match for the short, but very strong knight. Aodhan was bound by honor, and Kian was acutely aware that with each kiss, each gently touch, there was shame, spewing over in Aodhan's soul like a vat of venom. It would consume the knight one day, and not only Kian, but Aodhan's life would be in danger. What if Aodhan had slipped as well? Told one of his beloved knight friends? Then s**t would have really hit the proverbial fan!
So Kian kept walking, his resolution high. He'd make sure Aodhan knew they were for sure done being lovers... As much as ex lovers could possibly be.
He'd heard their voices far after he'd sent his floating eye to behold them. Travel with his small eye was so much faster, but it led him to them all the same. Kian appeared out of the shadows of a tall tree, leaning on it as if he and Aodhan had never met.
"Oh look, it's my new friend with my old friend. How charming. You're too loud Aodhan. If I had been any other witch eater, I'd have been feasting upon your heart already..." The words were rude, the tone bitter and his eyes held nothing but hatred. He looked to the vial the druid had in his outstretched hand, yet said nothing.
But he was quite sure, whatever it was, was dangerous.

Aodhan couldn't even begin to describe how terrible he felt. He felt ashamed, embarrassed, rude, and worst of all, worthless. They had a few weeks, at least that gave Aodhan enough time to draw up a proposal, he'd maybe even express how dire the situation was with some hysterics as well, or something.
He looked to the vial. Was this some kind of druid pact-making ceremony? "I wouldn't go back on my word," he said, his blue eyes flickering to the vial again. he shrugged, reaching out for the vial, feeling the coolness with just the tips of his fingers.
When he heard that hauntingly familiar voice though, he recoiled his hand, almost like he wasn't supposed to be there. Kian looked absolutely radiant, as always, in his shimmering outfit with blue that matched both of their eyes. His hair framed his face, lining the skull mask he wore. Aodhan suddenly felt a sense of accomplishment, beholding that mask. He was, so far, the only one who had seen the mutilated remains that Kian had left behind after he tore out his eye. Yet seeing the hallow eye socket, the cracked face, he had only fallen that much more in love with Kian.
Which is why it hurt so bad to be here now, hearing that voice, full of malice and distrust. Too loud? "I'd been calling for you. You never came..." He turned his attention completely to Kian now, feeling that gravitational pull that was so familiar. He wondered if his skin still felt like silken ivory, or if the monster lying in wait under that organic tissue had hardened Kian's body to cold stone.

Bane kept a strait and sorrow filled face as Aodhan started to take the vial. He wasn't even going to need to drink the wine first himself. Until a sound broke near by and the druid turned to see Kian. A complication in a plan that had been playing out so very well and challenging. Now the question was had the druid found himself in a bad spot or was there still a way for him to get through this successfully or at least without trouble. He with drew the vial from Aodhan for the moment seeing as he was distracted by this old friend of his. He would go with his story he had not another choice for the moment. Besides a monk waiting on the only herb he needed would be relaxing such a way Kian had met him right? Oh it was times like this it wish he knew more about how people would react. Perhaps it was far better to withdraw he could not hope to fight both of them should the need for a fight start. Neither of these mean seemed like the common wanderers he normally encountered. Bane placed one hand into the pocket of the fabric tied around his waist. Inside was a powder from the angel trumpet a plant well known for its poisons and their ability to put people in a zombie like state from a small period of time. Long enough Bane had found to make his escape from sticky situations. Between the two men he had shown two different sides with two different stories. Kian knew closer to the truth while Aodhan had been lied to. Retreat would be his best option for sure Bane finally decided. "I am uncomfortable in groups...." To three was a group well enough because he was used to it just being him. "Dear Knight see that you keep your promise to me." Bane said backing away from the two hoping the relationship between them would hide him from their eyes.

Kian scoffed. "I'm here now aren't I? I show up exactly when I mean to." He went closer to Aodhan, his mind drifting away from Bane and that strange vial he'd been offering.
He picked up the knight's helmet and examined it right off the man's head. "Still shiny as ever. Then again, you are ever so passionate about your work aren't you. How does it feel to have a single failure to eliminate on your record? Good?" He flashed an impish smile, yet nothing but malicious light entered his single, blue eye.
That's when he remembered the other. "Oh but we were becoming fast friends. I didn't mean to intrude here. Please, continue with your ceremony. I'll just simply watch. I'm ever so curious about druids. So, Bane, was it? Was my friend here thirsty? I seem to remember you trying to give him some kind of vial." The innocent, mocking was quite evident in his voice, and his s**t eating grin was only icing on the cake.
He turned back to Aodhan, noticing the druid's hands. "Then again, we have so much catching up to do. And I wouldn't want to make you miss out on remembering you didn't have it in you to kill me." His words were venom, sizzling and dissolving all in his path, and he was quite aware of it. He'd withstand the hurt he knew that would arise in Aodhan's eyes. He had to. Kian had Athir now. Aodhan needed better than a witch eater who was only good at making others murder with his manipulation.
Aodhan had to hate him... He just didn't know exactly how to get it. Wait. Kian's eyes turned back to Bane. "Actually. Bane, I seem to recall giving you that vial. I'd like to have it back now..." He laced his power within his voice, calling to the other's soul so he'd give the vial over. "Though I'd intended on giving it to Aodhan, here."
Kian was sure that whatever was in that vial was deadly, yet if Aodhan was given it, by Kian, only to meet a negative...almost end, Kian was sure Aodhan would finally stop clinging on to a relationship that just couldn't be anymore. The blue haired man smiled politely, outstretching his head to Bane, hoping his magic dug deep enough so the other didn't question him.Thinking maybe Neb holds off so Bane can react. Otherwise I'm sure Aodhan's just going to be reactionary.
