((I apologize for the delay. I should be able to manage one or two posts a day until next Monday, when I'll be back in full >.<))
The intense sound waves finally took their toll on the leader's Woobat and with a pathetic squeak the little bat plummeted from the air, hitting the ground with a small thump. "Good job Woobat," the Gym Leader called out as he recalled his Pokemon. He'd hoped that the bat would make it through the Uproar, but would have to make do with his final Pokemon. "Go Pidgeotto!" he called out as the bird burst free of its Pokeball. "Hit it with Quick Attack!" The Pidgeotto charged forwards, impacting on the Whismur with blinding speed.

The Gym leader knew better than to underestimate a Poochenya's bite strength. With a small dog hanging onto it, his Pidgeotto would be hard pressed to continue fighting. "Shake it off, use Whirlwind!" the trainer called out. His Pidgeotto didn't make a verbal reply, so concerned it was with just staying aloft, but it responded by immediately flapping its wings as hard as it could. With a little luck he could at least knock the dog off - with a lot of luck, the falcon could send it flying back to its trainer and disrupt her strategy.

((You know you get as many Pokemon as you want, right? Your whole team can battle if you so choose xD))
The gym leader blinked in surprise. Usually Whirlwind forced a switch-out, but apparently it wasn't a sure bet. At any rate, it had freed his Pidgeotto from the Poochenya's bite and given him a second chance to inflict damage. However, no sooner had the dog been flung off than it was back again, leaping for his Pokemon with jaws wide open. His Pidgeotto took another hit as the Dark-type collided with it, but fortunately it was unable to catch on to anything vital. "Let's get out of range, Pidgeotto," the leader called out. "Use Fly!" In an instant the falcon-like Pokemon shot up towards the ceiling, hovering near the rafters in an attempt to avoid damage. With only one Pokemon left, the leader was going to have to be smarter.

((Sorry! >.< I thought I'd made that clear beforehand. I guess I'll have to make an announcement so everyone knows. I think Chael only HAD to use three Pokemon before he finished me off, so that's why you might have been confused xD))
The young trainer knew how to make the best use of her time while his Pidgeotto was out of reach. Nice. He wasn't sure his Pidgeotto would be able to take another Bite after the Howl boosted the Poochenya's attack - that meant that he'd have to dispatch the dog in a single blow. "Here we go Pidgeotto!" the Leader called up to his Pokemon. "Use Fly!" With a shriek, his Pokemon dove from the sky, bringing all of its momentum forward in what would hopefully be a finishing attack.

OOC: If that's true...then... Kiera almost cried when Brutus was smacked by the Fly attack. Brutus took the attack hard and hit the ground whining. "Oh poor Bruty." But Kiera knew that she was close to winning. She guessed she could use all her pokemon now if she needed to. Her Abra still didn't know any attacks and Jupiter still was just a little Eevee. She threw the pokeball for Yanma even thought he was too high of a level so he'd stop paying attention to her if he wanted. But Kiera begged the big bug. "Please Bluey! One attack and I could win this fight! Use your Sonicboom!" The Yanma thought about it for a moment and sure didn't want to get hit by that bird. Birds were annoying. Looking angry, Yanma flew up high and beat his wings so rapidly a wall of air and sound flew at the gym leader's Pidgeotto. 1.  2. 3. 4. 5. 6.

The vibrating sound waves rattled the already-injured falcon, but they soon died off, leaving the Pidgeotto hanging on by a thread. Rather than give a command however, the Gym Leader simply held out a hand and recalled his Pokemon. "There's no reason to fight anymore," he said simply. "You've proven yourself brilliantly and are completely worthy of this city's Gym Badge." He crossed the battle arena and held out a hand - in his palm, the shiny disc gleamed up at the girl. "Congratulations."
