Grocery stores. They are always hiring, even when they say they aren't. Especially ones that require baggers and cart pushers. No one ever stays there too long.

You and I are the exceptions that prove the rule, right? Grocery stores. Restaurants, particularly dishwashers and servers. Walmart.

The more you appear cheery or pleasant the better your chances are.

No one's willing to hire a high schooler. It's frustrating. I'm not giving up, but it gets tiring sometimes lol

It might be harder to hire a senior high schooler toward the end of the year because most employers want someone who appears to be hired for longer than just a few months. I know plenty of high schoolers who are hired, both junior and senior grades. However being near the end if the school year you will have a harder time if you are planning attending college out of area. Make sure the employer knows what you are after. Don't just apply for full time. Apply for part time and temp also. Or if you are planning on leaving, apply for temp only. Also research the company. Are they union? If so they give you 30 day non union but you have to pay back into it if you stay. If they are union they wont look at you if you don't look dedicated for a job in your application. Make use of any and all comment boxes in the application.
Its tough but right now you have the youth advantage if you're willing to put your mind into your job. No one wants to hire a person who doesn't care about their job (even though they hire people who do start being uncaring employees).
