If you honestly do understand the Bible just fine, then why do you continue to claim it never regards homosexuality as a sin, when it's clearly, as day, stated it is? YOU STILL have yet to try and argue against Leviticus 18:22 and Romans 1:26-42. I'm not on any high horse. I'm just trying to see your point of view.

Trying to see my point? Are you sure? because let me say that I have met several people like you. They say that, but then don't bother to actually listen.
So in short, why should I post my explanation when from what I've seen you'll just go "You are wrong!!!"?
It has nothing to do with me not knowing, but you know "Don't throw your pearls before the swine." type of thing.

Because I see there is a belief contradictory to scripture, and I want to speak truth. Some people don't know scripture, so they don't know truth. We are not to go down our path of what WE think is right because WE are carnal and fleshly. We are to follow what God has given us, for our doctrine, for our correction and reproof, and our instruction in righteousness.
God is perfect. Now seeing that, what is MUCH better to follow? Our imperfections, or Gods perfectness, which He has given to us?

I like how this thread is about loving one another, but people have turned it into an arguement. why don't you all stop arguing about homosexuality and realize that there are a lot more important things in life to discuss. who cares if homosexuality is a sin? people shoudln't...it's not up for us to decide. If the bible does say that it is a sin, then God can handle it...he doesn't need us to go around judging people left and right...gosh...can't we all just get along here???????

Admirable_Mention I like how this thread is about loving one another, but people have turned it into an arguement. why don't you all stop arguing about homosexuality and realize that there are a lot more important things in life to discuss. who cares if homosexuality is a sin? people shoudln't...it's not up for us to decide. If the bible does say that it is a sin, then God can handle it...he doesn't need us to go around judging people left and right...gosh...can't we all just get along here???????

That said, I debate on homosexuality because as it is unchangeable, people may leave the christian faith thinking that "God doesn't love them". I nearly did that, before reading through my bible one last time and wondering if there was a case to be made. In addition, many Christians see sinners as people to bully, not people to be talked to. It's a very unchristian attitude, but there you go. So I debate homosexuality to help people who are gay/lesbian realize that God loves them, and they are just as "good" as everyone else, and so the Christians won't see it as a "grave threat" and discriminate against people because of it. I debate for love.

Personally, I think this guild would be a lot better if people didn't lock topics and threaten to leave every time an argument breaks out.
People like to debate. Sometimes they do so in a way you don't like, but that doesn't mean you have to stop the debate. In the most recently locked topic, there were some very valid points. There were some that were unresearched, but that's almost always going to happen when you debate a hot-topic. My theory is that if you don't like the direction a post is going in, then just stop reading it.
Sorry for the rant, but I just don't think locking the topic and letting it fade into the back of the guild is a good solution. *shrugs* Agree with me or not, I don't really care. I'm not a mod or anything, I'm just an avid forum-goer, and I've seen what works and what doesn't.
It would be great if we could all get along perfectly, but when people have different opinions, they're going to eventually debate on them. Let them get it out of their system, and eventually the topic will die and fade to the back of the guild on it's own.
