Let it be known that on this day almost 2000 years ago, the zombie of the Lord Jesus fed on the flesh of the living for a thousand years. And to Him, it was very good.

That's why the faithful consume his flesh and blood in ritual; symbolic revenge. 3nodding
Anyone heard if he saw his shadow this year, yet? question

This wasn't offensive in the least for those of us who do celebrate the Resurrection of Christ.

Funny thing about that: Easter existed before Christianity. It was the celebration of Eostre, goddess of fertility.

@this empty soul: That's fine, and they can both be celebrated as separate holidays occurring at the time, but I do find it a little offensive when someone calls Jesus a zombie and makes a crack at him eating living flesh.
@Officer Hot-Pants: .........Perhaps I left to much room for that by using sarcasm.

To be fair, he does fit the technical definition (since not every kind of zombie consumes human flesh... expecially in the MGU...).

Oh, I didn't mean to offend people. I was just trying to make people laugh. ^^; Maybe I should ask for this thread to be deleted?

ThisEmptySoul Funny thing about that: Easter existed before Christianity. It was the celebration of Eostre, goddess of fertility. Not funny at all if you believe that Adam was the first man and prophet and that all people were his progeny. The birth, life, death and resurrection of Christ was prophesied from the beginning and all cultures would have kept or lost remnants of teachings of their fathers.
As to deleting this thread, I can do that if so requested.

Just know that I get a little bit upset when someone cracks religious jokes. Not just about Christianity either. I have a general respect for others beliefs and I expect others to do the same.
