sad sweatdrop I am so sorry, I didn't mean to step on anyone's familial pasts. Just curiosity...
I knew some stupid stuff happened in the past, and continues to happen around the world in "third world" countries. Hell even in our nation...
sorry,

sorry,
Oh. I don't get angry about my familial past. The hard times my family has went through helped to forge us into the tough set that we are. If my several great grandmother hadn't been forced into that camp, she wouldn't have met my several great grandfather who was a soldier. If my white ancestors hadn't been enslaved, then we wouldn't be here period.
I get angry at people who take what happened a hundred plus years ago personally. Like they are owed something for what their ancestors went through. That's what my sore spot is.
I have some black nieces and nephews (my own age). They don't believe in restitution or affirmative action. They feel the same way about their heritage as I do. There was some pretty crappy s**t that happened to their ancestors, but that gave them opportunities they have today. They have no desire to see the 'African' continent because they aren't African. They see the s**t that happens over there, and they are glad they never have to witness that first hand. I respect that.
