When my fiance and I end up moving into our new place we're going to start saving up in puppy preparations. Obviously we'll be looking toward all the shelters in the area first, but as we have two cats already and will eventually want kids we'll have to find one that is cat/kid friendly and I know a lot of dogs are in shelters because they are not.
I have a hard time going into shelters because my heart melts at every single animal I come across and come up with some reason as to why I NEED to adopt it, and then he has to drag me out kicking and screaming haha.
If the shelter route doesn't end up working though, my fiance wants an english bulldog, and I really want a shiba inu. And we both would like a corgi.
