A young healer girl hurried over. "sir! You're awake! We're so glad. We thought you went into a coma on us after that freak storm." She ran a hand over his head to check for additional injuries. "How are you feeling?"

"It was really weird. We've never had a cycling storm like that. It was like a big shrieking hurricane but on land." She dabbed some blood away from his forehead. "But then, there also seemed to be fire in the winds as it tore everything apart."

A strange sound caught their ears. It was unlike anything they'd heard before. It was immeasurably deep and yet it sharper than any knife blade. A cracking sound, but that didn't define it properly, a-- The ground quaked violently beneath him, in the throes of some further unrest from the cataclysms that had occurred in Jiaum... but the sound was not coming from the ground. It was coming from beyond, out of view, somewhere along the mountain range, closer to Amaterasu' old sanctuary, the volcano...



It was louder than any windstorm, and to say it was spoken would be false. It had no mouth. The earth beneath and all around them erupted with the word. It was the sound of a planet cracking open and apart. There was no other way to describe the titanic din of noise. The next words were spoken with a power that echoed through all of the nation, whispering out over the Vast Sea to fade among the blue.

Escher continued walking, hands in his coat pockets. He then checked his energy levels, remembering that he has not recharged his energy yet. He stopped walking and pulled his hands out of his pockets. He dropped to his left knee and placed his right hand on the ground. He focused his energy and in one go was now kneeling in a creator about 8' x 9' in size. He had taken the energy from the matter that was in the ground. He took a deep breath and stood up. He continued walking and started to think. "First nightmares, then warriors from no where, then from the sounds of things the lady of Ernya blew up Jiaum, Probably for a good reason though." Escher then looked up, watching the clouds move about, "Now a giant booming voice. This is going to get far worst before it gets better." He said as continued down towards the booming sound. But looking up towards the sky he could clearly see were the booming sound came from, the cloud had been moving because the massive structure, this colossus, was moving about in the heavens. Escher took one step back and was shocked to see something that size. "Nothing can be that size!! How do you-How do we fight something like that?" He said thinking at this thing could possibly be seen across the nation. He grit his teeth and continued forward. He'd figure something out when the time came.

The ground trembled, highlighted by deep bass notes from some large and unseen items crashing to the ground.

"WHAT? AH. YES, IT IS GOOD THAT YOU ARE ENJOYING YOUR LITTLE MORTAL PARTS."

Who the voice was addressing was beyond anyone's guess. The air was filled with the grating rumble of stone in motion. Then, a deafening slam reverberated along the mountain range.

"COME TO ME, MORTAL, AND I WILL TELL YOU OF THE ENCLAVE OF THE ICY STAR AND THE SECRETS THEY KEEP."

((Whenever ya'll are ready to move closer, you can post exits in this thread and move to the old Rockface Village thread. What used to be the village and volcano is now Rykort's Guardian, and while you can keep traveling this thread and will be able to see it very soon [kinda hard to miss!] moving to the other thread will give you the opportunity to be close enough to him to further investigate.))
