((Two problems with the statements here. First of all, to the issue, it was not made certain that your character died. Secondly, I did read the details of your post, and you didn't say we were at the top, nor that he was at the same level as us. All you said was that the top was in sight, and that Bone's character was as well. You didn't put that we were at the top, nor that he was at the same level as us. Given that he was in sight and it would seem he would be ahead of us, and we never specified a distance from him or the top, and he threw the tank out fifty meters before letting it explode, it seemed perfectly possible that we could be at risk. So please don't call me a moron when you misread your own posts. With all due respect, you never told anyone you are going to be gone, which would have been appreciated.))

He could manipulate the metal along his body, but would rather wait on doing that. For all he knew, it could just be Eki or a creature native to the mountain. In either case, it would only cause him to use an action he might need. Kane takes in a deep breath as he is drug underground. Beforehand, however, he would grip a stick that he would be using to provoke the fire in one hand. His entire form is soon pulled underground and left there. He can hear the murmurs of someone, before making out her words and her identity. It was more of a guess, but he was pretty confident in his guess being correct. Kane releases the stick he holds and performs a few quick hand signs. After that he would follow the stink in order to break the surface of the snow. “Looks and sounds like you’re missin a few pals as well,” Kane comments. He would’t look directly at her for a moment, but decided that trying not to look at her and looking at her would do him about the same level of good.
He wouldn’t look her in the eyes, just because that’s what he was taught and not because she might have a doujutsu. Based on the first moments after setting out in these exams, looking her in the eyes wasn’t the thing to worry about. He exams her body roughly and can tell straight out that she was no longer wearing that nice coat of hers. Maybe they would be at the same disadvantage? Probably not. “Fire leaves me a sittin duck, walkin around in nearly nothin makes me easy prey, and huntin for beasts with limited or no mobility is a fools errands. Figured I’d take my chances with the fire. Just wished a lion’d be the person draggin me in any form.” He aims to fully dig himself out of the ground, before she attacks him. Though if she were to attack him at any point then he would be fully prepared to retaliate in some manner. Once fully out of the snow, Kane shivers. She’d soiled much of the work the fire did of warming him up. But he was still capable of movement. “If I wanted to be superheated or roasted alive, I’d ‘ve just rolled into the fire or ate some flamin tree bark.”
Was this female going to help him? If only to ‘accidentally’ kill him and/or torture him, but still. “Too many days have passed since the start of this thing. So if you plan to fight me and take my key, then let’s go. If not, then I’ve got a few warm accessories to make and somebody to kill. And I’d rather it not be you I have to figure out how to kill. I’m ain’t guy that isn’t afraid to hit a woman. I’d just prefer it be somebody with their full gear on them still if I’m going to aim to take their key. Get it all in one haul.” When forming the hand signs beneath the snow—not a small feat at all—Kane created a total of five clones. They all are made of liquid metal and have been given 2,000 chakra points of Kane’s to use as needed. Two are seeking out animals to kill, one is making its way up the mountain, and two… well, two are lurking about beneath the snow. They’re deep enough where it can only faintly be sensed of their location. It isn’t because Kane is planning something. They were supposed to pop out with him, but all of the clones got a little lost in the snow. At his call they’d probably find their way out. As for the rest, they are traveling beneath the snow, but have a sense of their directions.

Micha Fhei of the Village Hidden in Twilight
The Nosferatu Clan  Micha continued to make her way towards the top of the mountain. The summit was in sight, she was almost to the very top. She was happy she was making good progress. At this rate she would reach the top of the mountain with some time to spare before the end of the first trial. Her train of thought was derailed as a sound was heard behind her. She jumped forward, sliding her hand down to her waist where her pouch of kunai was located. She slipped her hand inside and placed grabbed a kunai out of the pouch, grasping it tightly. While she did she turned her body to face the direction of the noise. It appeared that the avalanche trap that she herself was almost caught in had caught a few unlucky genins. If she hadn't done what she did she would more than likely be trapped under the large mass of snow herself. She was thankful she was able to get out in time.
She watched as Izaya attacked the others. He was out for blood, he wanted to kill them. She knew that was exactly what the Joker wanted. For each and every one of them to kill each other mercilessly. But she couldn't bring herself to do that. Though she was well aware of the repercussions that were awaiting all of them if no one took a life. Boom..... They would all be slaughtered by the lead proctor. This was indeed a tough exam. Everyone's lives were on the line. She didn't want anyone to die, but if it meant the rest were to live, then so be it. She watched to see what would happen between the few fighting near the aftermath of the avalanche.

Shikyo Uchiha
The young Uchiha chuckled lightly, raising a hand upwards and pushing the black hair from her face. "Oh so you're willing to just toss your life away at my hand? Funny. I thought a guy running around in this weather shirtless, was a little less... Pathetic." Shikyo says with a slight sigh, taking a couple casual steps backwards and shifting the slightly tattered coat on her shoulders. It was a little torn from the snow, but it was still keeping her plenty warm. The large fan on her back would appear to be surrounded by chakra for a moment, although this wouldn't be noticed by those that couldn't see chakra. A second later the fan would be replaced by what would look like a backpack with pincer like wings extending up behind her left shoulder. "If you're planning on dying so quickly, then I may as well make it fast for you, yeah? I was intending to go take out your friends from earlier... But the more deaths the better, don't you think!?" She says, before one of the two odd wings flicked to the other side and unfolded, appearing much more like metal talon like wings now. Multiple red beams of light forming from underneath the talons as they flipped upwards. Either one of her arms reach behind her back in a crossing pattern, in order to make her arms crossed for a moment, before she flung them both forwards towards her new opponent, six sword shaped energy based red blades would be flung forwards towards her opponent, aiming to impale into them forcefully. The impact itself wouldn't kill them, but it would sure hurt a lot. Shikyo's Sharingan eyes would remain locked on her opponent now, following and tracking them in order to make sure she got her attacks to land correctly.

"Hey! What are you doing down there? I thought we were becoming friends!?" Lucius practically screams downwards towards Izaya, a smile across his face as he casually moves forwards towards the edge that was near by him. Since the man he was speaking to had moved away, it really only left him int he location of the Dragon that he could barely see at this point, since it had flown away. What a bummer seeing as he had been planning to make some new friends and have some fun in this beautiful weather that they were all having fun in. Raising his eyes slightly, he took sight of a lone female that was making their way up the side of the mountain. It was about time that some one else showed up that would be interesting to make friends with! A laugh erupted from Lucius' lips as he turned his head slightly to the side and locked eyes with the Eagle he had made friends with already. A moment later the large man eating bird would come soaring forwards, it's wings spread fully for the glide as it sailed through the air with talons extended. Raising a hand upwards he snatched onto one of the large talons, allowing the eagle to lift him into the air, a soft mental command would issue from him to the bird, before it would turn and bring him quickly towards the advancing female with a slight swinging motion, Lucius would release the talons of the Eagle and send himself flying through the air towards Micha. The Light claymore shining in his hand as he dropped from the air in order to land before the female, his eyes glinting slightly with the sweeping extension of the light created claymore aimed to cut her in half, if she wasn't paying close enough attention. The Man Eating Eagle would continue to soar circles in the air, awaiting a further command from it's new master.

Chaotic Evil~::Towards EVERYONE::~ Izaya listened as an explosion occurred below him. A mind disappeared from his senses. The target was dead now and so would the key be available to all. Izaya's upper body suddenly started to bulge in sudden gain of muscle mass before quickly digging away at the snow. It would probably take him about a half minuet before pushing away enough snow to get to the undead-redead corpse and then cracked open the body's skull and reached inside to pull out the key. As the bloody metal came free of the body, Izaya's body suddenly morphed back to normal before he threw himself towards the top of the mountain once more, grabbing a couple snow balls on the way up before pelting them at the people he passed to show them he had the key. As he reached the top, he set himself down and walked towards the door before unlocking it... Now what was going to happen? Logan Hyuuga, the Blue Byakugan Shikarama Nara, The Dedicated Genius Adell Terumi, THE GREATEST NINJA IN THE WORLD, wanna-be... Shikarama watched with wide eyes, his hand covering his mouth as the black-haired man went to work. He increased his muscle size somehow and began digging into the snow. He raided the corpse, breaking the head open and grabbing the key. then Izaya flew up towards the very top from their position not to far from it. Shikarama, seeing what little he could do, rushed up after Izaya. They didn't have much time, and had to get to the door before time was up. Logan and Adell faced the remaining wolves for a few moments. A snowball was tossed overhead as the black-haired man near the top moved towards the door, indicating he must have the key. Logan quickly tossed a flashbomb down. It blinded the wolves. They used this chance then and rushed towards the top. It was already within sight, and would only take a matter of minutes to reach it.

~ Universal Time Understanding Style (– 1,200 Skill Points) Kane listens to this female’s first comment with an inner sigh. He often compared women to each other after talking long enough with them. At this moment her words reminded him of something the old Eki would have said. Lashing out at him with some sort of insult that he didn’t think described him at all. Typical woman. By now, however, he would be either nailed with an attack or soon to be nailed with an attack launched by Eki. More of a blunt physical neck chop or an astray groin kick that winds up breaking a rib or two. And much to Kane’s dissatisfaction, he was about to get a finely aimed strike from this female. They differed more than he suddenly realized. All women nag, yes. But this female was more intent on killing him than torturing him until he died of old age or her poor accuracy. Plus… she didn’t seem like the type to miss. That brings about a memory of… No, wait. Kane didn’t have time to reminisce about the past! Then again, he’d already set a technique in motion at the cost of hardening his armor. Kane would activate the Universal Time Understanding Style in order to have a slightly better chance against this mass of homicidal womanly parts.
He could watch her movements much better now and could at least not die. Was he pathetic? A-D-H-D! He needed to stop thinking and do more acting. Kane would analyze the situation quickly before making a move. At this point, the female has begun reaching behind her back. It was clear that he wasn’t faster, he could just better manage his time. So simply dodging wouldn’t save him. And he’d already used a Substitution technique. He couldn’t use that again because he hated the stupid technique! Reason enough. After taking into account the snow and basing her speed off of his prior encounter with her… or what he was wrapped up in thinking was her, he actually does something. Something that is totally not some sort of action-less guys attempt at copying someone else. Kane would raise his hands while clenching his fist in order to force one of the buried clones from underground and up to the surface. The clone would rip through the snow and easily save Kane from begin sliced into ribbons. Sadly, Kane would be incapable of performing such a feat.
But before he is sliced into pieces, a liquid blur sweeps him up and takes the brunt of the attack he would have taken. Who is this? It doesn’t look like Eki‘s water snake. It looks more like a mermaid composed of water. A large one! She was just a few yards smaller than the water snake from before.

 Eki was warmer than ever now. At her current location, she could manage the full range of three actions! And without a key making her a target—along with her not standing out much—Eki could do much more than she has been. And yet, she would prefer to stick to a single action. Even when she realizes that she is no longer attached to the goat that is making a fall to its death. “Goat guy… girl,” Eki exclaims in a confused tone of voice. She releases the dragon that still took no notice of her. Though, the dragon was never really her partner. She just got tangled up on the dragon at some point and… Anyway, she begins to fall with the goat. At their height, it would take some time to hit the ground. So she had time to save them both. The tentacle clutching Ensui is allowed to be pushed by the air. Eki then twists her liquid body until able to snap her body into a spin. Once she spins hard enough and is backward, she releases the blade at the same time her tentacle is snapped back again. Like before, as this occurs, water begins to form a snake composed of water. Ensui is soon returned to her grasp once the snake begins forming closer to the goat than her or the sphere of water.
The Meliae removes the weapon from the sphere forming the water snake as water is again sucked from Eki to compensate for the use of the item. She then stretches out her form to quickly merge her liquid form into the sphere forming the water snake. This not only combines her with the snake, but gives her an even greater manipulation of the creature itself. The snakes shape is reformed in order to take on a more whole version of Eki in a less puny form. She extends a hand to grab the goat as tentacles squirm from her body. The Ensui is in one and is moved in a way to cause Eki to begin flying at a different angle. She would manage to become horizontal to the ground while making efforts to slow herself down with the motions of the Ensui. As she travels, the goat recedes inside of her. “Simple beast, fear not. I will tend to you.”
“Ah ah ah ah,” the goat manages to bubble out in reply to Eki. As the girl travels onward, traveling down the mountain and making a u-turn, she spots a man as he pilfers a corpse but can only make out his form. She fully turns about completely only to see him sail off. She wanted to go and see what she could claim from the corpse but would rather not go over there. She imagined she’d be the squeamish type if she saw a corpse. Besides, she would rather follow that individual to see what he’d taken and if it might be their key to freedom; literally speaking. She travels along until finally noticing smoke from a fire. She couldn’t veer off in time and crashes into that area with a decent amount of force. Come to find out, she would find Kane to have been in that general area. She would allow him to sink into her form too. “Kane, you’re all right.” Eki is silent for a moment before quickly stating what she is doing, “Off to the top of the mountain. I saw a man in the snow who could fly. Said male seemed to be digging in the snow after the avalanche and then flew up to the mountaintop. I figure he may have come into possession of a key.”
Eki’s large size and ability to fly, as it seems, allows her to easily make her way up the mountain with little effort. Even though three fourths of Eki has been sliced off, she simple adjusts her form to be smaller and look the same. Once at the top of the mountain, she would either shed the water snake or continue to dwell within it until they discovered if the male that may have come into possession of a key is anywhere to be found.

Well it would seem like she wasn't going to be getting a decent kill once again, although her opponent appeared to be in the line of getting struck by her attacks, a large watery shape came out of no where in order to whisk them away once again! Although this time they weren't going to get away so easily, her hand flicking slightly, a kunai appearing within it as she slams it into the side of the slightly frozen watery thing that kept on saving her opponent, from there with a tight grip held onto the kunai, she was whisked away as well towards the top of the Mountain. Her head tilting slightly with the force of the movement. So someone had gotten a key and unlocked the door? This place was over then. Fantastic. Shifting herself slightly, she tore the airtank she had on her still off her body, placing it against the watery creature she would remove the kunai and slam it into the broken leather strap in order to set it in place, her hands raising and forming the necessary hand seals in order to do another body flicker technique, sending her shooting away from them. Although not before dropping her hands and throwing a single kunai at the tank with as much force as she could muster. The body flicker from a moving object, sending her spiraling towards the ground, her entire body flipping within the air and landing with one knee hitting the ground and a slight wince forming across her face. Regardless her planted tank would have exploded at this very moment, sending whatever it was that kept rescuing her pray straight to hell where it belonged. A wicked grin formed across her face, she wouldn't look back to see the damage. Shikyo simply dashed forwards and through the odd door that was before her now.

Pulling his weapon short when a snowball had hit him square in the back, Lucius grins widely and exclaims to what would have been the female he was attacking. "Well sorry about that, friend! It's time for me to leave this area!" With that, the Eagle above him had already begun it's descent, grabbing him by the shoulders and lifting him up and into the air. An explosion in the distance, making the large bird release a frightened cry before it continued to fly towards the door. Lucius himself climbed up onto the bird, and soon both would be flying through the door and to safety.

The Nosferatu Clan It appeared the ninja that set the avalanche trap was a spider in a web, catching an unfortunate fly. It was sad to see, but the death that occurred helped to save the rest of the genin. She wasn't sure who was the unfortunate soul, but she was grateful for the sacrifice.
She turned away from Izaya as he went in for the prize he was awarded for killing the Genin. He would gain access to a key that would unlock the way for the others. She just didn't want to watch the gruesome attempt of gaining access to the key that was lodged inside of his skull. Instead she resumed heading to the top of the mountain. She wasn't too far now, only a short walk away until she was at the top.
She had finally reached the top, though she would have to wait for Izaya to finish the dirty job he needed to do. She stood and waited with her arms folded, though she wasn't completely letting her guard down. Someone could easily still try and attack her. And with her guard up she caught the end flying towards her face. She turned her head just in time to get struck by a ball of white. Luckily it was just a harmless snowball. It collided with her face, some snow was left on her cheek after the aftermath of the snowball. She smirked and wiped away the snow before looking back up towards the summit. It appeared Izaya has moved quickly and already unlocked the gate. It appeared it was time to head through and see what awaited them. She quickly finished her journey to the top, to head through the gate.

~ Universal Time Understanding Style Kane realizes that this new form is actually the Eki he carried around all the time during their travels. She sure did look a whole lot different than she normally did. The pair continue on their way, or three including the goat, until something horrible happens. Kane can feel Eki's body begin shaking rapidly and takes note of an explosion erupting on her underside. How hadn't she noticed this? Kane using what time he has remaining to wrap his liquid metal around the goat. He assumed Eki would find a way to survive this. His body, in the direction of the explosion, would become a very dense metal. He would defend himself against the explosion the best he can while shifting around in order to cause him to be blown in the direction of their destination. The explosion erupts and soon Kane and the goat are launched. By the time the two hit the ground, Kane's entire body is encased in a hard outer shell of metal. Aside from the portion that took the force of the blast, which would be fully formed now. Kane would lose consciousness some time after finishing his rolling and tumbling to land just outside the door to their freedom.

Meanwhile, the clones failed to accomplish anything. If life were some sort of sick rpg, it would probably be due to writer's block or acute laziness of the writer. But that would be completely outrageous. Anyway, the clones got into combat with numerous beasts, but since Kane was limited to one action and the clones needed one, the best they could do was survive. The animals all escaped, but a single unkillable turtle or tortoise as it appears. The clones decide, after three grouped up clones band together and hide in its blind spot, to try and tame the beast. They succeed in getting onto the tortoise, but the creature has other plans. So from that point to the explosion, the clones were wrestling with a giant turtle that later got away. The two clones trapped in the snow seem to tunnel their way around until arising under the ice the first water snake had created. Nearly free. At least they could see the dark and dreary sky now. It gave them no hope. The three clones make their way towards the top of the mountain and seem to take the strikes from some flying man without fuss.
Their leader may just be spared. The moment the two buried clones emerge, they are pelted with snowballs. Hours pass and soon the night has set in. The buried clones have hardened greatly, but can still move. While the still liquid clones aren't fairing too much better. The clones were hungry, cold, and thirsty, but that was really only in their heads. they only needed warmth and that was just to keep them liquid. They were fine. The moon looms overhead by the time the five reach the mountaintop after a long trudge along the dark side of the mountain. What would stand in their path, however, would shake them to the bone. The giant tortoise would block their path, and with friends to back him up.

 In hindsight, Eki probably should have been more cautious. Flying around and casually picking people up would only lead to misfortune at some point. The female sores through the air happily, sensing a vibration different from that of Kane and the goat. She supposed she'd just caught an animal until she senses more movement. By the time she realizes that something has been placed within her to erupt into an explosion, she only has time to let Kane and the goat flow to the top of her form and into the tentacle holding Ensui. The explosion soon develops and easily blows her into droplets of water, but it seems as though Kane has escaped. She could easily survive being blow to droplets... if only it weren't so cold. The sun had already begun setting and the temperature again drops. She had no chance of surviving. "Nooooo--"
"--ooooooo!" The Meliae watches as her form is destroyed in horror and shock before realizing she is still alive! Traces of her line Kane's warm but slowly growing colder body. Some traces of her are elsewhere and safe but its dark. The unkillable, ultimate partner goat comes out of the entire ordeal completely unharmed. It was like he was some sort of super animal God. The beast shivers as it stands and seems to regurgitate onto Kane. Eki finally realizes where she was that was dark. The goat must have swallowed and housed some of her substance within it during the time it was within her form. "Ew, ew, ew!" She owed the goat her life, since he had a large portion of her in his mouth and keeping her warm. Not to mention the droplets trapped in the goats fur. The goat then slumps down and either falls asleep or passes out. Now it was up to Eki, again! The small portions of water quickly gather together, a lot of the water from Kane having begun to freeze and become less mobile. It doesn't take more than a minute or so before Eki has reformed to the same size and appearance as before. Actually, she's a bit smaller.
"Hurray," she squeals before covering her mouth with her tentacles. "I mean, hurray!" This time she whisper yells. She would then wrap her appendages around the goat and Kane and begin dragging them over to and then through the door and to safety. Hopefully it would be fine to bring the goat and her friends would soon awaken.

"Damn," One clone mutters while hidden within the pack. Three massive turtles stand in the way of the traveling fellows. They could see their leader's body beginning to disappear into the door and grit their teeth. Who knew what could become of them once the first traveled through that door completely? They needed to defeat the foes before them in time to enter into the door and leave. Otherwise... something would happen. The clone leading the pack, referred to by the other's as Other One, charges forward. He's clenching his fists and ready to kill these immortal turtles. He strikes swiftly with punches and kicks, but they are ineffective. The turtles raise their heads and stare down at Other One with a menacing, one eyed glower. They then huddle in and cover the liquid metal being from view. His wails are muffled but the group can hear him clearly. Brave, foolish soul... The turtles part and begin their charge. This is it!
"I'm gonna be the hero," the clone in the far back yells. He was tired of being in the background. He was going to charge forward and make himself worthy of being more than a gray scale, shiny clone. He swerves around the others and dashes towards the group of man beating beasts.
"No Hero! Don't be a hero!" The second in command, also known as Buried Snow: Exhibit A, calls out over the battle cry of his comrade. The clone in the middle shields his eyes as Hero leaps upward. He brings his hands together and cups them into a fist. He comes down as hard as he can and makes a faint 'tink' sound when connecting with the head of one of the tortoises. This really sets them off. The clones try not to look, but the clone standing beside Buried Snow: Exhibit A just watches. Hero dodges a neck strike from one turtle only to have his foot stepped on by another. Things look like they were happening in slow motion before Hero is soon concealed by the turtles. "You stupid fool!" Despite the humor in the turtles actions, this was terribly serious! The clones weren't fooling around! And this is in no way some person's sick sense of humor after being deprived of sleep! Nope. The turtles turn to the group and begin charging themselves. They were even in number and had the advantage in strength. They no longer needed to remain back in formation.
"Make a run for the door," the clone in the center shrieks. If one of them had a boombox then some epic sounding music would play. The three remaining clones charge the group of rushing turtles. The clone that watched the carnage more happily than the rest, Buried Snow: Exhibit Not A is actually forming some sort of air, rapid fire gun with his hands. He makes the appropriate noise as he skips manly towards the fight almost in slow motion. Buried Snow: Exhibit A is scooping up snow in one hand to shove into one of the turtle's eyes and clenching his other fist to follow through with a fist punch in the same eye. Meanwhile, the clone that lurked in the center of the group, runs quietly in the shadow of the two. Don't Die Trying is what the others call him, and he is hoping the turtles will attack the other two and then he can make a mad dash for the door. Seconds seem like centuries before everything plunges forward. The turtles envelope the three and effectively stomp them into the snow. The normally peaceful creatures seem to stare absentmindedly at the carnage. The clones are piled together near the door and seem to be knocked out. The large land beasts stomp away, ready to kill another day. This tragedy will not soon be forgotten.

The snow settles in the area as the clones lay lifeless in a pile. As Kane's body is almost completely through the door, the clones stir. They'd played dead to get pass the tortoises. They knew, from the start, they stood no chance against those behemoths of energy in their current condition. So they allowed themselves to get beat up so they could get closer to the door and escape. And in record time too. Kane was... he's almost completely through the door! The clones scramble to get up, only to tumble over each other's bodies. They all eventually get up and begins slow motion running to the door. The snow is falling in real time, but for effect, the five are running in slow motion. A man eating eagle spots them and soon dives down in their general area. It would devour their fleshless forms! The five stop fooling around and stumble over to the door. They shove and push, The Other pulling the actual Kane the same time Eki is dragging him, in order to exit before being attacked again. The five finally squeeze through the door and Kane is completely drug through. The bird notices this and lazily flaps in order to stop their dive and begin flying into the air again. Maybe they'd get the next bunch of fleshies.

*Pops slipped disk back into place so that he could crawl back to finish this segment of the exams* (seriously... I couldn't even move yesterday...)  Eingana lofted over the clearing and suddenly the was some sort of reaction near the gate it was odd that there was nobody there and yet it still reacted as if there were, landing Eingana opted to stay in the current form after all no reason for people to know that Vale could intermediately switch bodies whenever he had the whim. Under his knowledge there would be another ninja from Hidden Heaven here Kane. [and if it's open and ready to receive people] Approaching the gate Eingana entered it ready for the next part of the exams.
