This week, for your viewing pleasure... we have the concept design for a suit of armor, crafted by my RP character Surtur, for Josh's character Illvringer. See Josh for more information about Illvringer, or for specifics on the armor. Just to note: yes, half of the face was left uncovered intentionally, but the left forearm only appears to be unprotected because this scan was taken before I'd completely finished the piece. It was completed and presented to Josh at some point after I lost access to a scanner.
As always, click here for a larger image.

Saber Talawyrm That's creepy but as epic as ever. 'Tis the usual result when a god crafts armor for an undead deity. 3nodding

I certainly still have it with the rest of Illvringer's things.

Matasoga Want me to look for the completed version? I certainly still have it with the rest of Illvringer's things. If you would. Thanks. I can't even remember what that missing gauntlet looked like... 'twill be nice to see the finished piece again. 3nodding Saber Talawyrm I'm always most impressed by all the detail you put into things. It seems like every time I look there's something new to discover. As I see it, detail is what makes each piece unique. Damned near everything has already been done, so keeping to rougher, more general artwork will, more often than not, just look like an idea copied from someplace else. The detail is what makes it your own, and distinguishes the piece from others with similar subject matter. So I try to put a lot into everything I do, as much as suits the piece.

That makes sense but not everyone bothers so I still say that it's impressive. Especially since there's always so much there. It's really great. 3nodding

It's really great. 3nodding Well, not everybody is made of as much sheer awesome as I am. mrgreen Plus, there's a lot of character in the tiny little details. Lots of little things you can pick out that'll tell you something about the individual, from the designs in their armor, to the style of their clothing, or the random nick-knacks they carry. Makes a piece a hell of a lot more interesting than if such things were brushed aside. Thank ye.

I like characters that are developed well enough that you feel like you know them. All your details really add to that. ^_^

mourn_of_blades That's the idea. 3nodding I somehow missed this one last night. Given how hard of a time I was having staying alert enough to respond to much of anything though, I doubt you would have gotten much more than an answering ^_^.
