"Owowow...stings like fire." Chance took a step back, putting pressure on his shouldr injury instead of putting pressure on Darion. "God, I hate you. I should honestly just spit venom in your eye and be done with you for the rest of the day." Just like a regular snake...when you have it backed it to a corner, the most it'll do is snap at you until it finds another hole to crawl in to. Chance still had his fangs, and he still had his venom...as a snake, all he needed was a good bite. Backing away, he tried to come up with a plan, but his view was getting fogged up again.

It only makes it worse, and I will never be the one you can defeat. Believe in me, 'cause I was born to feed." Darion would stare at Chance with a wild glare. Most animals would play with their prey before they killed it but Darion had a job to do. Darion back away. Far enough that the fog on Chance's glasses would hide him. Darion would quickly form twenty shards of ice. Darion would quickly shoot at Chance. Five at him and the rest around him meaning if he tried to dodge he would still get it.

"Pfft...pathetic!" Chance snapped, dropping low to the ground. As the first shards passed over his head, he was mindful to keep focused on the others. With Darion so far away, Chance doubted that he'd be fast enough to actually catch Chance off guard, so he didn't worry about that. "Is that all you got? Come on!" Chance bit the inside of his jaw, trying to keep as focused as a man under stress could. "Ugh, what a fine mess I've gotten myself in to. Dear old dad would be so proud of me!" Chance mused to himself while trying to keep on his toes.

Darion would quickly jump forward as he shot his crystals. Seeing Chance drop to the ground Darion would slap his hand on the ground and as Chance fell 7 foot tall spikes would stab from under Chance and aim to impale his arms and legs making him unable to move even if he managed to escape.

Chance's ears twitched as he heard the ground break open a bit too late. "Ow...worse than fire." Chance complained, biting the inside of his jaw until he tasted blood. At the same time the shaded glasses on his face fell on the ground and broke from center. "Oh, that's just fan-f******-tastic. I chose the wrong day to not wear contacts." Wherever Darion was now, Chance shot him the middle finger.

Darion jump high in the air and gently land on one of the spikes, he would snap of the sharp tip with his heel so he could stand on it with one foot."Whats? Don't you have anymore cocky remarks? No more back talk?" Darion would sit on Chance's back making him slide down the spikes more. He would lean in and whisper into Chance's ear with a dark and cold tone."Do you feel that cold shiver down your spine and the sinking feeling in your stomach? Thats the cold sting of defeat. Now to claim what I need. The spoils of the hunt." Chance would suddenly feel his flesh on his left shoulder be ripped from him body. Darion would quickly begin to gnaw his flesh off. Darion would raise his hand and a blade of ice would form in his hand. He would bring his blade down on Chance's left arm and severe it from his body. He would bring his hand over to where Chance's arm once was and his hand would suddenly catch on fire thus burning the wound shut. Darion would hop of the spikes with Chance's arm in hand, chewing the flesh off of it as he stared at Chance blankly in the face. Darion would take out an empty bottle and hold it in the air taking in the mist of a cloud."I would kill you but I see no point in doing so. I do not hate you and what I've taken isn't to spite you. It's to ensure my OWN survival. I hope that you understand that this is me giving you one last chance. You attack me again and next time I will rip out your throat with my teeth." Darion would turn away from Chance, pick up his spear and strap it to his side. He would hold Chance's arm in his mouth and carefully climb down the mountain. The spikes of ice would shatter as Darion left the area.

The sky darkened as The Assassin appeared on the mountain top. Glancing from the impaled Chance to the blood trail of his severed arm that led off the mountain, he sighed and approached the former gang member. "How disappointing, I was too late to catch him here. But never the matter, he couldn't have gone too far..." The tall man glanced at Chance with his merciless, crimson-colored eyes. "As for you, your use has worn out." A wicked smirk formed on his lips and The Assassin shot a hand around Chance's throat before the man could even say a word. His grip tightened for a moment, and then the loud crack of Chance's neck snapping pierced the air. Chance's body fell lifeless on the spot, and The Assassin left to find his next target.
