it troubles me a little

i mean, those paws are all over pine needles and sap and sand and whatever...

but at least it's better than the cats

My roommate regales me with tales of her cat licking his butt, then trotting over and taking a sip from her water cup.

Cats are dirty little animals. My rat never licked her butt.
