I want to know, is change possible? And can you control it somewhat? Can you decide who you are even when you don't think you can?

Change is possible. It's not quick, but it's most definitely possible. It's not easy though. You can control it, by telling yourself what to be doing. I've recently tried to be less of an a** in general. By offering advice, I believe that I'm helping to fulfill that goal.

Fatestitcher Change is possible. It's not quick, but it's most definitely possible. It's not easy though. You can control it, by telling yourself what to be doing. I've recently tried to be less of an a** in general. By offering advice, I believe that I'm helping to fulfill that goal. Most uplifting thing I've heard all day. Hell, we've deemed the word "history" as such; a reflection on human changes over the passage of time. Anything and everything related to "history" is simply relative to our miniscule time here on this planet. Furthermore, History has no set time period. It's not necessarily over decades or any allotted time. History can simply mean what has happened moments ago - it's all a matter of perspective. With that being said, yes, people can change. It's what makes us human. Our flaws are our strengths; we learn from our mistakes and strive on an innate desire to grow [socially, mentally, and emotionally]. Change can be instant, or it can be gradual - it depends on what is trying to be changed, the methods used to make that change, and the overall mentality of the person/people attempting the change. Saying "Can people change?" is like asking "Do we need food to live?" It's inevitable, and it happens more often that people think it does. You may or may not like the change you're looking for, but that's up to you to decide. If you want to make the change, then do it. However, and I say this with a heavy heart, don't expect life to hand you golden apples. You'll have to break a thousand sweats to make even the smallest of scratches. Again, it's all a matter of perspective.

Making and Being the change is hard. As a hated minority, I find it hard to be the change and even harder to make change up to a point where I just want to give up. Even in a diverse group, I see people who still want to carry and exault their prejudice aginst others who they hate. In fact, people know what they doing is wrong but they stand by it. In other words, they are willing to be ignorant and they don't care. My only answer: for change to truly happens, people who do wrong and they know it, must suffer!

Like what, or are you not comfortable sharing?Its not so much as Im uncomfortable sharing them... I just don't know exactly WHAT im changing... well its like this. I have a general idea of what needs to change but I don't know the small details... I get most input about me from my friends. I dont have much of an opinion about myself so I have to compile THEIR opinions to get an idea of what Im like, and I don't like the image I have.
