I am creating this thread for those of us who need BOF game help. Lets try to keep this thread up as high as we can. I will do my best to post in it as often as I can to keep it on the first page and up as close to the top of the page as I can.
I recently purchased BOF IV and am in the midst of playing through it.
Here are some questions I've ran across so far.
Once you leave an area where a master lives can you ever make your way back to them?
Once one character learns an enemy skill does that make it null an void for any other characters to learn?
Right now that's two of the main ones.
Also, I am finding that there just isn't much info out there on BOF so I am going to try to make a guide to BOF IV for starters. Stay tuned for that.
Thanks everyone!

Ok here are couple of things I've discovered as I'm playing through the game.
A)The robot character can bump into people and pickpocket them for items. It's not always successful but you can get some Zenny and stuff.
B)She can also bump into trees for apples or berries or even get stung by a caterpiller.
C)Frost +Stone Pillar = Storm Ice Blast + Stone Pllar = Tempast
I will be creating a guide as I said before but it will take time.
I am taking notes as I play through the game.

ScarletCape's Breath of Fire IV Game Guide
Characters
Rhu Rhu's Magic Flame Strike - Aura Dragon Flood Tide - Sea Dragon Fulguration - Rock Dragon Healing Wind - Grass Dragon Holy Circle - Tree Dragon Mud Flow - Mud Dragon On Slaught - Grass Dragon
Cray Cray's Magic Level 8: Rock Blast Level 11: Slow Level 17: Stone Pillar Level 21: Might Level 25: Shield Level 30: Quake
Ershin E Ershin's Magic Level 7: Wild Shot Level 23 : Quake Level 28: Inferno Level 35 : Typhoon Level 45 : Primus
Nina Nina's Magic Level 8: Barrier Level 11: Rejuvenate Level 14: Cyclone Level 17: Raise Dead Level 20: Remedy Level 23: Vitalica Level 26: Inspire Level 29: Typhoon Level 31: Kyrie Level 34: Restore Level 36: Resurrect Level 39: Vigor

Ursula's Magic
Level 21 : Cyclone Level 24 : Enfeeble Level 27 : Drain Level 28 : Leech Power Level 31 : Inferno Level 35 : Death
As you can see there are a variety of characters in the game with a variety of skills. You can also see that each character has an inate element. Rhu is Fire. Cray is Earth. Nina is Water. Ershwin does not seem to have an enate element as most of her attacks are physical in nature. Scias is Water. Ursula is a mixture of different elements.
Characters can also learn skills through enemy contact. If you guard with a character, that character has a certain chance of learning an enemy skill. To see what skills a monster can teach you, press the square button on your controller during battle. Blue skills can be learned, red skills cannot, and a black skills have already been learned. Below is a list of different skills and what monsters you can learn them from.
