I'm in love with my best friend.
He is aware of my affection, and quite simply will never feel the same way about me. Don't be fooled by my female avatar, I am actually male. I am also a homosexual. He is not.

I have been seriously considering separating myself from him, though I value our friendship very strongly. For how long, I don't know, (I also wanna say that, amazingly, his loyalty is unfazed by my feelings for him, which I'm deeply grateful for).

The problem is, I don't know what would make me more happy; independence, or being with him. Either way, the feelings will pass. They always do.

Please, advice? Thoughts?
