A hesitant shadow appeared in the doorway. “I’m here.” She said quietly, focusing on staring at him rather than the world stretching out in front of her. Of all the fears to have, this must surely be the most annoying. Spiders skittered out to join him as Anise hung back.

Eventually she knelt on the ground and leant against the doorframe. “I am fine here. We can talk.”

Cada smiled he was glad that she was willing to at least try. Moving closer to the door he sat on the opposite side leaning lazily against the wall. Looking up at the clouds as they swam by he wondered about an old friend, what he was doing, where he was? With his attention shifted slightly he may have looked a bit side from a side angle but he quickly threw those thoughts away.

Smiling again he turned to give Anise a once over before pressing his hand to the screen. "If I could grant you a wish, what would you ask for?" Random question surly but perhaps it had purpose for him.

When Cadavar spoke, Anise blinked at him for a long moment before the words made sense. She had been caught in her own thoughts and now she frowned, fussing with her dress for something to do as she considered his question. It might have been random, but she took it seriously, mulling over it carefully.

“I…” There were many things she could ask for. As far as foolish answers went; a castle would be nice. On a serious note, the ability to walk outside and no longer be afraid was at the top of the list. Then she could see the world the way she wanted. “… would wish for Alexander to stop looking sad all the time.” She answered primly. “It annoys me.”

Even with his daughter around to order him around, Alex always had an air of melancholy, incapble of escaping the scars of his past completely.

He giggled softly, leaning back against the wall. The clouds had caught his attention once more as he smiled softly. "Is that all?" He asked surely seeing Alexander mope about wasn't that big of a deal but who was he to say otherwise. "Very well as your loyal servant I'll see to it that Alexander cheers up! However, I'll need you to lighten up on him, show him a little more kindness... something a daughter normally would do for her father." He nudged her through the screen giving a soft smile in return.

"If you need someone to be your verbal punching bag, I don't mind it so much." Really he didn't which was quite odd considering he never listened to Marijus when the man was trying his best to raise him. Then again what could a half drunk doctor really do for a kid who was as hyper active as a disease? Shrugging those thoughts away he stood to his feet leaning down to smile upon Anise. "I'm going to take a walk to the market, is there anything you'd like for me to get for you?" He wouldn't ask her to join him, she wasn't ready and he didn't quite understand how to protect her against such a phobia. Maybe Alex could educate him later when they both felt ready to move forward.

“Is that all?” Her voice became shrill with sudden annoyance. “I did not ask for anything more because I do not need you to grant me wishes. I will defeat all my problems on my own.” The nudge softened her anger slightly, but she still sounded affronted when he went on to say that she was unkind to Alexander. Unkind? The nerve. “I show him great kindness and dare you say I do not.”

She pouted, unable to properly glower at him with the screen door in the way. “And I only attack you or Alex verbally when you step out of line. If you behaved I would not have to tell you off.”

Anise stood when he did. “No. Enjoy your walk.” Her tone was dismissive as she disappeared away inside.
