You get so excited and then you are dissapointed..I have to admit though the best part was when she asked if I remembered them visiting us. Also I am off work until next week because the wind made it a lil hard to do the repairs. Gotta love wind warnings lol

A bit off topic, but I have a question. I don't have a PetSmart where I live, but I know how incredibly popular it is, so I've been wondering... Where does PetSmart get their pets from?

MyouMegami A bit off topic, but I have a question. I don't have a PetSmart where I live, but I know how incredibly popular it is, so I've been wondering... Where does PetSmart get their pets from? They get the fish from a supplier and local breeders. The dogs and cats are from local shelters, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, come from a supplier and local breeders, my friend from school breeds rats and guinea piggies and she will give some of the babies to the store. They also get the bettas from a supplier or local breeders, reptiles and herps come from a supplier or local breeders. I used to breed Platties and Neons and I would give the extra fry when they were big enough to them. It might depend on the store though, each store may have a different way of getting pets. But I do know that all dogs and cats come from shelters not puppy/cat mills and they do not come from breeders. The PetSmart in my town is great, all of the animals are in great condition, and they take pride with what they do. I go in a lot for my fish and one of the associates even asked me for advice for what to do with the Ghost knifes (fish) and the hermit crabs. That is just proof that they are willing to learn new ways of pet care.

I want to work at Petsmart, I love all animals and have reasonable knowledge of how to take care of nearly every one the stores sell.

I actually work at Petsmart in the Grooming Salon. whee
It's a great place to work, in my opinion, and it's been a great learning place to help me with my German Shepherd and cat rescues. 3nodding

Ugh, I'm dying for my Petsmart to hire something other than grooming managers! I applied to Petco, but am hesitant to call them. I hate their store. It's always so dirty. D:

Goodluck getting the job.
There's a lot of information on the web about how they get their small pets from mills (like for puppies). I'd take a look if it's of concern to you.
I don't know about other locations, but while I was buying my dogs conditioner, I overhead a cashier saying they weren't 'allowed' to purchase from independent owners because they couldn't 'ensure' the quality of their animals.
Anydoodle, that's all I know. Of course, that's what I heard.
