No. Jesus dying on the cross AND rising from the dead was him defeating death and sin. It gave us the ability to live eternally in Heaven. If Christ never rose, we'd have no religion. It'd just be a nice story that ended badly for everyone.

Many Christians get the false idea that Satan just sits on a little fiery throne in Hell. How could Satan every do his dastardly work if he just sits in Hell all the time? Remember:
1 Peter 5:8-9 ESV "Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world."

Satan is on earth. He is not omnipresent but has a multitude of fallen angels at his bidding. "1/3 of the stars of heaven."

Revelation 12:3-4, 7-8 ESV "And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven diadems. His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth...Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated and there was no longer any place for them in heaven."

I like this verse. It's a very motivating verse. Only 1/3 of the angels fell, that leaves another 2/3. That means that for every 1 fallen angel there are 2 heavenly angels.

Revelations 19:19-21 ESV "And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army. And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. And the rest were slain by the sword that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh."

Satan isn't cast into the Lake of Fire until the battle of Armageddon. Jesus does not come back on a white horse with his army, us, until after tha rapture and the 1000 year reign.
