I saw both of these things and it's jsut terrible. I know in China the good samaritan law does not apply, which is why people did not want to get involved. Plus, everyone thinks that someone will surely help the person, so it doesn't have to be them.
Probably in China it isn't abnormal for kids to go play on their own. I know in my local Chinese market the kids run around like demons with absolutely no parental supervision at all.
Still very sad.

I'm really glad that the child finally was helped. And thank you for posting that article. I can't believe people would think that the only reason they helped was to get money and to get famous. Augh - what is this world coming to!? gonk

I saw it and *sigh* it was scary.. I can't imagine myself in the position of the mother.
OHH THE BYSTANDER EFFECT
yea.. learned that about psychology.
There are people around so one would think not to help since there
are others who can help that child.

Augh - what is this world coming to!? gonk I'm just glad something like that would never happen in Norway. It frightens me that it can happen at all, though. Somethimes, people suck.

Exactly. I learned about it in psych class too. The story about that woman in the alley. Kitty something.. Also a terrible story.
