[Naroh : Keuredet : Bakery, First Floor]

The familiar sound of a gossip stone bluntly awoke a now alert and battle ready Naroh as he scrambled to his feet, sword drawn in hand, quick breaths escaping him and eyes darting about. The scene was that of a warrior whom slept light and always anticipated the lurking of danger. This time fortunately there was none and as the ex-guardsmen brought himself to that understanding of his current reality his heart calmed and he relaxed.

“That's right, I'm still in the bakery...”

Settling down, Naroh found himself a seat on the bed as he picked up his sword's scarbbard that had been tossed to the floor in the heat of the moment. The sword's holding was nothing special, besides some gold trimming and a light engraving upon that, the sheath consisted of a simple sturdy brown leather. Still, he cared for it all the same.

Putting his trusty weapon away he stood once again to his full height and secured the tool to his belt. Now he was ready for the day but that was likely not the case for the rest of the household which meant he would have to wait a few hours more until someone decided to get up. That was fine, since patience was an asset he could often attest to.

“Well Naroh what is it you need to accomplish today?” The self spoken question was a habit that the ex-guardsmen had hoped to one day escape, yet here he was talking to himself once more. Slapping a hand to his face lightly Naroh groaned audibly before catching himself, the one thing he didn't need right now was to start the day off with a bad impression and making someone grumpy usually went along those lines.

Mulling over the details of last night he looked about the simple room before reaching to a pouch upon his person. Opening it up he counted a small amount of rupees and sighed. “Guess I can't pay them this way.”

Securing the pouch back on his belt Naroh continued to think about what he could do to repay the small kindness the boy had given him. He wasn't a baker and to be honest he didn't know the first thing about baking so there was no help there. He use to be a blacksmith, but what help could a bakery see in that? The more the ex-guardsmen pondered the more and more he seemed to be defeated with the situation. But he had to find a way to help, it was just a desire he felt the need to accomplish.

[ Izzy : Keuredet Village ]

Once they had entered the village, Izzy was fascinated by the Hylian homes. He had seen them in pictures, but never in person. He approached the closest one and felt the outside wall with his hands to examine it, giving it a few soft taps with his knuckles. "How... odd..." he thought aloud. "They really DON'T live in trees!" He suddenly gasped and placed his hands over his mouth, remembering where he was. "We should be careful," he whispered to Felin. "These people aren't used to seeing us. They'll probably think we're village children, but we'd better not take any risks. Hopefully, we can find his home before the sun begins to rise, and we won't be seen."

He glanced up at the lightening sky to see that it was nowhere near as full of clouds as it had been previously. It was going to be a sunny day, when dawn arrived. He couldn't smell bread from where they stood, so perhaps they needed to go farther into the village. It wasn't very large, as far as Hylian standards were concerned, so it couldn't be that hard... Or so he hoped.

[ Wheaton and Pita : Keuredet Village : Bakery ]

As soon as the Gossip Stone had rung out its cheery and eerie laughter, the baker couple had risen from bed and started preparations for yet another busy day. Wheaton immediately made his way upstairs to wake Aroma up and start her reading lessons, while Pita got a head start on the family business. She didn't flip the CLOSED sign on the door to OPEN just yet, but she started up the ovens, moved the bread from yesterday which she had wrapped in plastic onto a display rack near the front of the store, and walked to the storage room to gather supplies, carrying a brown woven basket with her.

She dropped the basket immediately upon opening the door, however, as she was surprised to see a PERSON inside the storage closet. "AAAAAHHH!!!" she screamed, slamming the door. She re-opened it immediately, however, and gave the man a frightened stare. "WHO ARE YOU?! What are you doing in here?"

[Naroh : Keuredet : Bakery, First Floor]

The scene had caught Naroh completely off guard, so much so he was practically struck breathless. He had assumed the boy would greet him, instead he was scared half to death by a women who he could only guess was the boy's mother. The scream she present upon opening the door to his temporary lodging was possibly loud enough to shatter glass and the strength she used to slam shut said door before re-opening it again would have likely snapped bone. These two factors made his attempt at responding to her frantic words, very difficult, as his fear at the moment was wither or not she would tear him in half if he said something she didn't want to try and understand.

“Uh... I-I'm, a friend of your s-son's"

His words were soft, to the point they were likely hard to hear, but Naroh paid no attention to this detail as he at the moment struggled desperately with himself to move. Having been scared to the stillness of a statue.

“I-I... um, was caught in the downpour, last night... y-your son uh... offered lodging...”

It was hopeless, how could he make her understand he meant no harm? Besides, didn't this women also allow him to stay to along with the boy? As these thoughts swirled about within Naroh's mind the ex-guard could only hope someone could be his savior from this awkward situation. It had been a bit too long since he last dealt with people at this level and right now help would likely be better appreciated.

[ Felin : Keuredet Village ]

Felin looked around, large walls that, as Izzy implied, seemed sturdier than their own homes. What were they made of, though? Was it rock? Felin walked up to the house Izzy was beside and copied the boy, feeling the wall. It was cold to the touch, and very hard.

Izzy's words brought her back to reality and their current situation. and she simply said "Yeah.", the word slipping out loosely. She shook her head, clearing her mind before looking around again. "So, do you know which house the Giant lives in?" though Felin wasn't familiar with the town, she knew enough to spot an abode. "Or does he have some nocturnal habit?"

[ Izzy : Keuredet Village ]

"Um... I don't know what it looks like... All I know is that it's a bakery. So it should smell like bread, I suppose."
Izzy got ready to run forward, but hesitated when he saw a man walking on the dirt road just where he was about to cross. The man was carrying a mailbag strapped over his shoulder, and suddenly stopped at one house, reaching into the bag. He pulled out a single letter and passed it through the mail slot near the front door of the house, then immediately continued on his way. Once the man passed from view, Izzy glanced from right to left, then nodded. "Now!' he whispered, before bolting for the next house. Once he crossed the street, he leaned his back against the house's wall, leaving room for Felin to stand beside him. While he stood there, he glanced around quickly, wondering which building they should try next. His eyes suddenly caught a sign hanging over the door to one of the houses nearby, upon which was painted a design of a loaf of bread, and the words "Wheaton and Pita's Bakery"

"We found it!" he cheered, almost forgetting to whisper. "Felin, we found it!"

[ Wheaton, Pita, and Aroma : Keuredet : Bakery, First Floor ]

"Oh..." the woman said, remembering her son's request the previous night. "So YOU'RE the friend Luke was talking about?" she asked, bursting into laughter, holding a hand over her mouth. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I thought he was talking about another stray animal he had found."

Wheaton and Aroma soon came running to the storage room, having heard Pita's scream. "Are you alright, dear?" the male baker asked, casting a confused glare at their surprise guest.

"Oh, I'm fine," Pita giggled. "This is the friend your son brought home. He could have told us it was a person, so we could offer him food."

"Why is he only MY son when he does something bad?" Wheaton asked, crossing his arms.

"Mommy, Daddy, he looks like one of my toys!" Aroma exclaimed happily, pointing a finger at Naroh.

"Aroma, it's not nice to point at people," Pita scolded. "You should apologize to..." here she paused, turning back to their guest. "I'm sorry, I didn't get your name."

[Naroh : Keuredet : Bakery, First Floor]

“Um... its uh, Naroh.”

He almost wanted to collapse. The amount of relief Naroh now felt seemed to wash over him like a refreshing breeze as all of his anxiety dissipated. Despite the awkward moment that entailed just seconds earlier he was more then thankful no violence had occurred. Still, the woman scared him.

“I-I apologize for the intrusion. If you'll accept, I would like to help out with whatever it is I can, as payment for allowing me to stay the night... if um... that's okay with you.”

Glancing to the floor, Naroh fought to regain his sense of self worth, having travelled for quite sometime alone, he was again not use to dealing with many situations as he had once been. During his time as a guard, conversation came naturally to him, but during his time alone, fear replaced that aspect. Still, regardless of his own personality changes, the needed to do something as payment for the superb hospitality this family had so far present him with was there and it demanded to be heard.

[ Wheaton, Pita, and Aroma : Keuredet : Bakery ]

"Oh, that's not necessary, sweetie," Pita said, her smile widening. "We can't accept payment for doing the right thing. Come on, let's get you something to eat!" And with that, she grabbed their guest by the arm and dragged him out of the storage closet and into the bakery section. She promptly pulled her hair up and put on a hair net to keep it in place, right before slipping on a pair of tiny gloves. "Now, what would you like, dear? Do you have any favorite kinds of bread or dairy products? I'll have 'em fixed up for you in a Castle City minute!"

"Aroma, could you wake your brother for me?" Wheaton asked as he and his daughter followed the other two into the shop. "I need to have a word with him."

"Sure, Daddy!" the little girl beamed as she bolted through the bakery and up the wooden stairs. She ran down the hall to Luke's room, knowing from experience exactly which brother was being summoned, and knocked on his door. There was no answer, so she knocked louder, again to no avail. "He sure can sleep," she huffed, crossing her arms and tapping her foot on the hardwood floor, deciding to wait a moment before trying again.

Morning. By Hylia's Name, how she hated mornings. The sun was beating bright rays through her closed window, illuminating a spot on the bed, as well as her fiery hair, and she promptly grabbed a pillow and slammed it over her head, which did less to remedy the situation as it did in exerting pressure on her hands. Do I really have to get up? she thought, as i the question wasn't rhetorical. She had no school to report to, but the Sisters she shared the house with would probably do something to make her get up, her being apprentice and all. It was a rough life, she often thought, but one she wouldn't stray from. Magic was all she knew, and if she had a falling out with the Sisters, where would she go? She highly doubted there were other sorcerers to take her in, both in Castle Town and Kakariko. With an immense, exaggerated sigh, she threw off the covers and pillow and go out of bed.

Catching herself in the mirror, Phyela noticed that her hair was all tangled and everywhere. Her face could hardly be seen, and appeared smaller underneath her tomato-colored mop-top. I need some better conditioner, she thought, slowly making her way to the bathroom. That, or some de-tangle magic.

In the bathroom, under her sleepy, half-open eyes, she routinely cleaned up, first reaching for her toothbrush and toothpaste, brushed her teeth, spit in the sink, grabbed the small rinse cup, gargled, swallowed, and then cupped her hands under the tap to grab some water to splash on her face before stepping into the shower. She usually sang in the shower, and she didn't really know why.

"en daʃeʋu nobe̞ ʃo̞ndʊ
tʏe ʃʊtʊ keuænu sale̞
en daʃeʋu nobe̞ dʊʃʊ
tʏe ʃʊtʊ nobe̞ dezu dotʃe̞"

Once her shower was over, she stepped out and instinctively grabbed the brush on the counter of the sink, straightening her hair (or trying to) as the comb got caught half the time. It almost felt like she was trying to rip her hair out.

When the torture was over, she walked out into the main room, seeing both sisters up and already hard at work on their own things. "Morning." she said, reaching for a muffin that was sitting on the counter.

[Naroh : Keuredet : Bakery]

Naroh fidgeted under the woman's gaze as he stood before the counter within the bakery itself., try as he might it just wasn't easy to toss away the nervous pinch he had. Still, he managed to return her smile.

“Um... w-whatever you think is best, I'm not all that picky.”

He was however a bit hungry, given he hadn't eaten much besides the bread the boy had offered earlier. But, he was thankful his stomach had yet to make it known. Feeling a small itch upon his right shoulder he absently rubbed the area in hope of ridding the discomfort before realizing he also scrunched the mantle it was draped with, prompting old instincts to scrutinize the area more as he corrected the issue and smoothed the cloth.

This gesture did not go unnoticed, though Naroh paid little attention as a more pressing issue was becoming prevalent.

“Um... if its alright, I... I didn't catch either of your names.”
