So I came out to my best friend by email (she lives in a different country) and she told me she is heart broken... she is a Christian and so was I. I also told her about renouncing my faith. To sum up, she told me that I'm confused, that not growing up with a father really affected me. Naturally, I was expecting a similar reaction, but I guess I was just ... disappointed. But don't get me wrong, my friend is very loving and caring, she also had some uplifting things to say.

My school's GSA hosted a mini event. They provided poster boards and markers and asked people to make a sign with why we were afraid to come out on one side of the board and why we were afraid that we did come out on the other side.
Then we stood around holding our signs and some campus newspaper folks showed up and took pictures.
