Does anyone else remember and love this movie the way I do? It was made in 1982 and stared the voice talents of Jeff Bridges, Mia Farrow and Angela Launsbury. Based on the novel by Peter S Beagle its the story of a unicorn that goes in search of others like her when she learns that she may be the last. Her journey leads her the midnight carnival of the witch Mommy Fortuna and earns her a friend in the magician Shcmendrick. Along with him and the camp wife Molly Grew she finds her way to the land of a mad king and his demon servant The Red Bull. I am reading the book right now and I love it but the movie will always be a favorite of mine.

My bf actually owns The Last Unicorn and we have both seen it. As well as The Flight of Dragons. XD LOL

I have both versions the original video caset and the dvd, which I must say caught me by surprise when I found it. I never thought this movie would be a dvd because of its age and I didnt think it was that popular. Glad that it is though because it is a good story and a beautiful movie. Some of the best music ever cool Never heard of Flight of Dragons.

I absolutely love the Last Unicorn. It is my favorite 2D animated movie of all time. No Disney animated movie can touch this one!
Flight of Dragons was also a good movie. It was memorable, not great, but still an enjoyable fantasy that is worth checking out.
The other night my brother sent me my early Birthday present. Since I live on the other side of the globe he sent me this link to the story, "Two Hearts" Which is the official sequel to the last Unicorn. It's a shorter story, but it was still a great story. A very good read, and yes, it was written by Peter S. Beagle. If you loved the Last Unicorn, I recommend you drop what you are doing right now and read this,.

I remember a sequal being mentioned in the special features. Glad to hear a good review I will be sure to check it out.
