Time for actual introductions then? He supposed it was probably past the point when that really would have been appropriate, but he was never really one for social graces. "Riddick." He paused again at the compliment on the territory, stopping to get a quick drink from the stream before speaking again. "Water, food, lots of cover, and with a little work a good way to stay warm in the winter. Kind of surprised no one else had claimed it before I got here. Though... most people seem to be more social than I am." He shrugged. "The scenic view is just a bonus."

Crow nodded and looked around, eventually sitting and swaying his tails back and forth slowly "most are content for a place to sleep in a humans house, and a free food source they don't have to hunt" he shrugged softly "I do know a few who prefer to hold territory. And everyone has different reasons" he tilted his head to the side, musing over something privately, before shaking it off.
He was about to say something when the crow broke through the tree tips and fluttered down to the ground, it eyed Riddick before hopping to Crow. Crows eyes dilated as he saw what the crow had seen. He pursed his lips, but shook his head. The crow protested with a caw but ruffled its feathers in defeat. It hopped over to the stream and began bathing itself.
Crow shook his head "I apologize, he can be pretty persistent when he wants to be" he said glancing at the bird, as it went about its business, paying the two no further mind.
