XD) then feel free to double up. Worst scenario is that I'll volunteer for scavenger hunt and we only have one host each, except maybe the one you wanted. ^^ THANK YOU SO MUCH I ALMOST DIED THERE! *more hugging* *squished >w<* The scavenger,tektek,and avatar interest me the most. I don't want to host all three of them,but those would be the ones I prefer the most. Well, for scavenger, since we don't have any volunteers, I'd think it would be most appropriate to host that one, just so the weight is lifted off of all of us. But if you feel more compelled to host the other ones you like, feel free. ^^ As for tektek and avatar, you can double up with sephi, so it'll be 2x less work. If you'd like, you can host the scavenger and tektek or avatar, which I think will help us the most, but it's completely your choice. I, once we've taken all volunteers (which ends soon by the way, to any cohosts who may be reading this), might go on to help with another, so don't feel obliged to volunteer for the scavenger if you don't want to. ^^ THANKS AGAIN! ^^

I volunteered for TekTek Contest during one of the meetings. That's why I quoted you here smile Anyone who volunteered for hosting a contest should be (ideally) working towards having it ready in the contests guild.

For my contest, Clue, I'm going to need some cooperation with all us host/cohosts. Because I want it to be like on of those games you'd play, where you go around questioning people? Hehe. So an outline would be like this. I have 2 options, and we'll have to figure out which would work better for the whole room, since I don't want to divert attention from everyone else doing their own stuff in order to help me. First option:The first option is going to be more attention hogging. I'll need everyone here, plus a few made-up NPCs I'm going to be playing.
Everyone's going to be semi-hosting the contest, since the guests that will be doing the contest will be questioning the characters directly. It will be less confusing, but will hog attention. An example is like below:
[guest] went up to [character. Say, in this case, it's the Queen]. [guest] said to the Queen, "Hello my lady. I heard [mystery. Say, in this case, the court's pancake batter was stolen]." This is what the guest would say, quoting whoever is the character they've chosen to ask. In this case, it's the Queen, me. I will respond in an answer. (I'm going to say the Boy King stole the pancake batter so he can eat all the pancakes himself.) My response would be:
The Queen looked startled as [guest] showed up behind her. She had told to cook to keep it a secret! "Why, yes, how did you know?" Suspicion crept in the Queen's mind. "Say, did you know any of this?" and the guest would reply:
"No your Majesty, I came to ask you." [guest] said, pleadingly. [guest] had hoped the Queen might know something to help her solve this mystery. and the Queen, since she is not guilty, would respond with one single clue:
The Queen shook her head. "No, darling, I'm afraid I don't. Perhaps you may be able to look into it for me? I do know something, though. The cook had fell asleep at exactly 3 o' clock." The Queen bid her wishes and glided into her quarters. See? It's a tiny bit confusing, but... Anyway! XD We'll all have written clues, but we'll have to write the prompts yourself.
Option 2: Option 2 will be less attention hogging, but more work for me. Not that I mind. XD I'll be playing all the characters and NPCs.
The guests will be questioning me only, so everyone won't be revolving around this one single contest. It'll be slightly more confusing, but hopefully I'll get it sorted out so I have these posting styles that'll be different from the one's we're using for the ball, with just the name of the charrie in bold and colour, etc. Something simple.
I'll have written prompts and options for the guest to choose from. Like one of those games where you'd click one option of the three to say, and the person either gets mad or tells more. Get it? Confusing, no?
So a sample would be like this, with the guest questioning the Knight, the Master of Disguise guilty for taking the last lantern.
[guest] came up the the Knight. He seemed like someone who would know quite a bit of knowledge. "Hello kind sir. Do you happen to know about the lantern stealing?" [guest] asked. This will be followed be me, saying:
The Knight turned around from the archery targets with a questioning look on his face. "The stealing of a lantern? What in the world have you done?" And on the bottom of the post, in smaller font, will be 3 possible questions you can ask:"I didn't do anything! I was simply asking if you had known!"
"I made a mistake coming to you. I'm sorry sir."
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. But I came to ask you." And the guest would pick on to incorporate into their post. Say Option 2.
[quest] was taken aback the the Knight's accusation. "I made a mistake coming to you. I'm sorry sir." And [guest] started to back away. And then the Knight would make one last post containing a clue. He would now be apologetic. This would be, like the Knight's last post, already written.
The Knight was sorry that he had caused [guest] to be afraid. "Well, if it helps, I do know something. I heard a jester with a red beard has stolen it, but the court has no red-bearded jester." Deciding that was enough, the Knight turned back to aim his arrow. So yeah. It'll be a lot of pre-writing for me, but much easier on all of us, and much more organized.So yeah. Any input? I personally choose option 2, and I think most people would too, but I dunno. I just wanted to share what I have so far. ^^

And I think we should have a rule that we can't actually "out" the person who it is, but we can't say we did it either (unless the guest has collected enough evidence to accuse us fairly.) That way the contest will last a little while throughout the day. Do you think we should have one mystery for each day? That way we can reward people at the end of the day and if one doesn't get solved we'll move onto the new one the next day anyways with a little sad face beside the contest.

So 3 mini contests, 3 different mysteries. I actually really liked the options so it was like a game, and that would make it a TON easier for the people. So I think I'll do a compromise. That is, if everyone else would like t help me semi-run the contest...? I'll hold a little vote later on, once I got this whole thing organized. I think running CLue may be harder than any other. XD
