I'm Jack and I play the bass in a small jazz combo. Some of my favorite artists are Dr. Lonnie Smith, Phil Lesh, Sonny Rollins, Jaco Pastorius, Paul Chambers, Charles Mingus, Lee Morgan, Wynton Kelly, John Scofield, and Wes Montgomery.

I'm a jazz bassist and I've been playing for about 5 years. I also play trombone, baritone, tuba, and a little trumpet. I am 17 years old and am in the school symphonic band, concert band, marching band, bass choir, and of course jazz band. I love jazz music and have been playing it for years. My favorite players are Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, Jaco, and Paul Chambers

Hey folks! I'm Tion a.k.a. Kuroi Ookami, but you can call me BeaTion if you like. I can play piano/organ and percussions. I am fascinated with anything that had to do the Harlem Reniassance; poetry, music, arts, etc. The world of jazz is passionated and free. Anything goes and thats why I love it.

Ok, I'm Maize. Most people call my Mouse, or Mousey (they're preferred, unless you're my mum)
I started playing guitar when I was six. I learnt off a teacher who didn't really play though. She played piano. She taught me a LOT of theory, and not so much guitar technique. So I am way advanced in theory compared to actually playing sad
When I was 13 I bought a Clarinet off EBay (big mistake I know) Since then have got a new and much better Clarinet, and play jazz. Picking up Clarinet is what really got me into Jazz. I was recording my own songs with my guitar, but I wanted to incorporate my Clarinet.

Guitar+Clarinet=Jazz

So thats me really. Like the TS I love the English language. Writing and language analysis is a real passion of mine. I'm crap at maths, I don't care what people say about music being just maths. IT IS NOT completely TRUE.

Ok, thats my two cents worth smile

Wow, what a nice large...gun.

Oki-dokay. I'm probably not the most hardcore Jazz fan here, I do have a love for Jazz like old big bands and anythng with that beat. I'm really hardcore into music though, I love my music and defencivly protect my interest in it with deadly force should I ever need to again. Jazz, Blues, Bluegrass, Classical, Forign orchistrative, Rock, Rock n Roll, Hard rock....lets just say anything Rock, and Metal. Not huge into the 'hardcore' scene but a friend got me liking some of it.Im not vastlyintimate with rap or country, even though Im dating a lovely Southern girl so..the latters gonna have to change. When I was in school I played a coranet in..uh, fifth grade but I really wana learn Harmonica, alot. Im a little dislexic so I never was good with reading sheet music, so in Chorus which I was often in I memorised the words and notes rather then read off em...and I guesss Ill get off the stage since Im typing to much, any other questions and well ask. o.O

My name's Rebecca, I don't particularly like listening to jazz, but it is my altime favorite thing to play...so, naturally, I choose the one instrument my band dirrector says shouldn't be in jazz band, flute(for the record, she let's tubas and oboes into the bands)

Fortunately, I'm not the only jazz loving flutist at my school, there are two others that are in my band that our class durring the jazz band times is a trio...we spend majority of the time focusing on jazz music that we found for flutes, improvised solos and all

I'm called Mai on here, and I've been in my school's jazz band for just half a year playing clarinet. Even though I've only been in it for half a year I've fallen in love with it.
