The manga's not finished yet, Gilraen... but I agree, I can't wait to see how it ends. The anime is such a cop-out in comparison... they put so much more thought into the characters, went into a lot more depth with the storyline... not to mention all the differences with the Homunculus!! [Spoiler:I mean, we haven't even met Pride yet in the manga, and they allude to it being Hohenheim, of all people... ((freaking Mr. Twinkie!! ::stabs:: )) and the Fuhrer is Wrath, not some random annoying crybaby of a kid...

Seriously? Where did you get that version of the manga? I've been reading a fansub (since sadly I know zero Japanese) The version I'm reading calls (spoiler) the Fuhrer pride but then in one chapter called him Wrath, which really confused me...I think I'm still confused...I've only read up to chapter 43 (which is all that's out on this site) and sometimes I get a little lost jumping back and forth between the anime and manga. Oh well....

I think that bit of manga with the Pride/Wrath confusion might be because they were talking about Pride in a scene with Wrath.

ANYWAYS~!

Originally I liked the anime more. Saw it first, and when I read the manga, so much of it was pretty much the same stuff as anime (slight changes) that it didn't hold me interest as much. Plus I was zooming through it and not letting it soak in as much.

BUt then the anime was nearly ending and there was a climax of fire and battle in the manga. I dreaded for character's safety! But then I went back to watching the last couple eps of the anime and ignore manga again.

Until another chapter came out. And there was no longer weekly anime. So another month and another chapter and... and the manga is love.

So now I think the manga is better. xp

And I heard that Arakawa plans to go on for quite a bit longer with teh manga. From what I understand, the current chapters are basically the halfway point and the series is to be about 20 volumes long in the end. That mean if the manga came out in 2001 or whatever, it won't be over for another 4 years or something like that.

I'll be 28 by then! gonk

Really. I have to ask you to take it out. Like I have said many times before, this guild is for everyone..... you need to white out spoilers, AND you can not show piccys from the last episodes! At least disable it while you are in my guild.

Somehow, both are equally interesting. I admit, I prefered the manga at first, due to the slight difference with the anime. I mean, Ed getting caught was like.. sweatdrop pathetic. But I got used to it, and liked it. Then after Greed died, it seems as if everything was different! eek

But does everyone agree that the ending of the anime was very unpredictable. I didn't expect it to end this way. I'm really looking forward for the manga ending, since I quite sure it will be different. xp

Yea, the last episode did have a wicked twist. I was caught between being really depressed and really hopeful..odd sort of. At the moment I'm watching more of the anime than reading the manga so, ugh, I don't know...

I like them both pretty equially. The Anime has it's own certain charm, But is completely different from the manga (the origanal story). Where as the Manga is really the origanal story (Awesome story might I add), but but ....ummmmm.... ummmm.... it's not in color. sweatdrop

Well I like the Anime cuz it's colored and the music is cool, and Roy looks hotter. The manga is original and the story is longer. But Roy looks ugly. So I would like the Anime better. But I still like the manga

I dunno, I really have no say in this topic at all actually, because I haven't read the manga yet. I did try, but the online manga viewer took too long to load and I have no idea how to download manga. So, I think I'll stick to Anime. 111 days till the Conquer of Shambala comes out...
