"That is of course unless you know things will end badly, like with me and cooking. He said, turning with a bit of a jolt as he viewed a coming crowd of Lunarians lumbering his way. Watching them warily he smiled back to his companion. "I'm sure that could end with me doing some of the same stuff, only far more often and with worse consequences." Cais felt at ease with Kiran but the impending rush of others had him on edge.
With an amused shrug he turned back with a curious gaze to him. "Anything someone does can seem like a form of expression, though admittedly some can be odder than others, there is some sort of artistic value." He shrugged again and his eyes seemed to wander to the sky as he zoned out into his own mind before snapping quickly back to him.
"I think I've gotten a bit sidetracked by meeting you." He said with a kind and genuine smile. "I guess that's what happens when you get two artists together eh?" Cais chuckled and turned from him. "A happy coincidence I'd say, but father will still be rather... cross.... if I don't finish these errands." There was another, smaller smile with the hint of fear hiding behind the expression. "Though it has been a pleasure to meet you I should be off."
Cais shifted slightly with a nod to him as he took a few swift steps ahead with a wave. There was a reluctance to leave his newly made acquaintance. Biting his lip just slightly he looked back. "I'm sure to see you around, right?" He asked with a tilt of his head.

Kiran cracked a smile at the comment about cooking. "Cooking isn't always easy," he agreed, thinking mostly of his mother and her very poor cooking abilities. Any great chef would cry to see how she butchered every meal. "I'm not very good at it, myself. I'm still trying to learn how to cook things properly." Since he lived alone, he only had himself to rely on for meals, unless he decided to visit some of the food stalls to pick up something. "But so far, I've usually managed to pull off something edible." He was glad that he hadn't completely inherited the inability to make a decent meal from his mother.
Kiran nodded. "I guess I never thought of it that way." But Cais's comment did make sense. Any form of expression could be called art. Kiran just never really thought of boats as fitting into that category until Cais pointed it out to him. An artist? Him? Kiran still thought it weird to think of himself like that when for years he thought all the artistic ability in the family had gone to his sister.
He blinked and looked back at Cais. "Oh! Sorry," he apologized in mild embarrassment. "I didn't mean to keep you." After putting in the order for the lumber, Kiran didn't have much else to do but wait for it to arrive back at the shipyard where he worked. He had forgotten that Cais was on his way on some business before their accidental meeting. "Yeah," he agreed with a laugh as he nodded. "I guess it's like they say, time flies when you're enjoying yourself."
Kiran nodded again to Cais. "Of course! I'd love to see some of your glass work." He smiled; though he was a little sad that their meeting was being cut short, he did understand the need to go. "Well, then. I won't keep you any longer."
