Mom! I'm Home!
I just love my house! We have the nicest one on the block! It's mostly because I have to keep it manicured and we groomed. My mom says it builds character. I think she just doesn't want to hire gardeners, but I don't mind! It can be fun! I even get paid to mow some of my neighbor's lawns when I'm available.
Our backyard is a different story. It's so hard to navigate back there! I had a little fort and the grass grew so high once that I couldn't find it. It's not like the backyard it big or anything.... My mom tries to garden. Key word: Tries. She has no green thumb at all. I'd sooner call it a black thumb for all the things she inadvertently killed. The garden she tries to start up every spring ends up dead in a month or so. She wants me to hep, but I have no interest in that kind of stuff.
Now, I live in a small, 2 story house; just my mom and I. The front door leads you straight into the family room and from there, there is the dinning room and the kitchen. The kitchen feels a bit cramped if there's more than us in it. Up stairs is my room, my mom's room and a spare bedroom in between. We've turned that more into a workout/computer room, but my mom and I hardly work out in there.
My room is quaint, with the egg white color still on its walls. The same color it was when my mom bought it. I've pasted some posters of bands and other cool things on the wall. My grandparents got me a piggy back in the shape of a dog that eats the quarters and dollars. I hide him under my bed so that no one gets it. I have a neutral bed spread, it's dark and light blue in a checkered pattern with light blue sheets and dark blue pillow covers. It's just a regular twin sized bed and I like to sleep so low in it that me feet hand off the end. There's no TV in there, but a small bookshelf is in the corner with my books, games, and a hand held system. My mom and I have to share the TV downstairs.
I really like my house. It always smells like home and feels welcoming. Even though it's painted a plain color on the outside, it's very vibrant and busting on the inside. My mom really liked decorating it when she first moved in, and she can't seem to stop adding things and moving them around. So, all in all, I have a wonderful house and a wonderful mom!
