"SOG is the only group that has the option of rolling out without any support elements. Regular forces require support. For every mission, CAS is always on station and a FAMT is standing by. SOG only does supportless missions when they cross the border."

Colonel Jackson leaned back in his chair.

"Think of it as being with 1-10 CAV, only with more lenient rules, more missions, and less boredom. On the flipside, you go under new rules, some of your missions are non-combat oriented, and there are times you'll have zero downtime."

"I don't run SOG or SOTF. They just fall under my jurisdiction for basic rules base-wise. But on SOG missions, I have zero say. Shooting during a no-shooting mission and it was NOT in self-defense? That can cost lives. If you thought earlier was bad, imagine what would have happened if Captain Winters wasn't here. If you receive a mission like that, I advise you to restrain them, regardless of what you might see. Those missions normally have people's lives on this line. Something going wrong can cause deaths. Many of them. That's why I refused a SOTF slot."

"As long as they follow orders, they'll be fine. I'd rather not see SOCOM and the Council crack down on you and your men. And that's all. Make sure you pin your rank on before you leave. Your sister will probably do a double take."

He pushed a sheet of paper towards Jarid. It was his official orders that proved his promotions was legit.

"You'll need this by the way. Impersonating an NCO is punishible by jailtime."
