-Halley had not so much as flinched. Not a motion had been made to dodge the girl, nor to shorten the distance. He had been still, statue like. Despite that, the expression on his face had managed to alter itself as the light kiss came and went. It wasn't truly his first, although he would never really blurt that out, especially to Sere.

As the girl moved away, Halley's cheeks painted themselves. his ghastly face had filled with color, had tinted a cherry red. It took him time, but he noticed Sere's had also brightened. Sluggishly, he moved himself off of his bed. He stood up, turned his head away.- "If he says anything, I'll leave you a letter, okay? So you know where I'm at." -His head was quickly turned back to the angel. He seemed so different. He was... changing frequently. Rebellious, troublesome, weak, seemingly... Attracted. Which was really Halley? Or, were they all Halley?-

"Will do." -Kit had given what appeared to be a boy scout's salute. He'd smiled a tad, looking sheepish as he left the room to make certain Louis was doing alright. He was sure the boy was at least decent. Panda-Pan was fine, and that meant Louis would be fine, although it would probably take time for him to get over the seperation...-

Sere nodded as he slid off the bed. "If he does, we can still hang out anyways. It's not like Niko keeps a 24/7 watch on me, much as she'd probably like to." She said, rolling her eyes slightly.

-Kit had wasted hardly a moment getting himself down the hall. Had he been at full capacity he might have heard the comments of Sere and Halley. However, Kit was far from full capacity. He'd been scared out of his mind that something horrid had been about to happen to Louis. Kit knew the tragedy of losing a to-- Friend. It had happened to him as a child, after all. The wooden horse.

A low groan escaped his mouth at the very thought of the horse and childhood. He chose to discard the thoughts, for they were unimportant things that held to place in the present. Instead, he allowed the evening to flood his mind. It was ironic, and funny. He had been dating the babysitter's mother, Halley's best friend's mother. Even more ironic was the fact that he had had a good time, the best he'd had on a blind date. The girl appeared fairly attractive, and she was most certainly not vapid.
It was unfortunate their date had been cut short. Idly, he began to wonder about requesting another. Such an idea was short lived when Kit realized what he was thinking up. Halley's best friend's mother. That was a trouble starter. Regardless, he found he did almost wish to renew the date. If not as a date, than as an outting. He'd never met the parents of any individual his children knew, if they knew any. His relationship with the crew was a hazy one. He knew, perhaps, the bare minimum, only what they chose to tell him and what he observed within the home.

Quietly, Kit made it down the stairs and into the living room. Louis was seated on the couch, Panda-Pan caressed within his covered arms and held close. His eyes were wide, and round, and glistening with unshed tears. Those blue eyes, so innocent, so needy! Seeing those eyes made Kit feel the rush of parenthood. Silently, he proceeded along the way, pausing in front of the couch to get a good look at Louis. There was no movement in anything but the blue opticals, which shook and trembled in a melancholy way.- "Hey, buddy." -He murmured, face loosening up and becoming a bit more mellow and casual.-

-Louis had sat still. He was a statue of a child, a frozen figurine of a once life-filled thing. But, he did stare, he did gaze, and he did take notice of Kit. How could he not take notice of Kit? He always noticed Kit, even when it seemed as if he did not, he always did...-

"Just came down to check on you. You okay?" -Kit's slanted eyes were dead set on what was in front of him, scrutinizing the boy and searching for any malformation in the personality that may of occured. Of course, he didn't find much of anything out of the ordinary. Louis was always silent after a scare.-

-As slowly as an injured hare, Louis shifted. He straightened himself, brought Panda-Pan closer to his chest. It was then that Kit came to notice that the boy had not bothered to return the hood to it's rightful place over his head. Instead, he had left it down, allowing the artificial lighting within the house to illuminate it and make it glow. Louis certain did prove himself an angelic little demon. The way a halo spun about his hair, the innocence contained within his eyes. Kit returned to looking at the eyes. The tears were falling, silently, slowly.-

"It wasn't Panda-Pan before." -Louis murmured, tiny voice twinkling with a melodic sound. His head was bowed, hair slipping into his face.- "Panda-Pan got hurt, got hurt, see, see." -Louis held the plushie out.-

-Kit, of course, could not see the difference. He thought Niko had done a bang up job fixing the toy. Hesitantly, he leaned forward to get a closer look. There still seemed to be no obvious difference, which led him to wonder if Louis had a sort of sixth sense attached to his toy.-

"You lied." -Louis continued, then stopped. His circular eyes had returned to Kit, looking dissapointed and upset.- "Wasn't P-Panda-Pan, wasn't."

-Kit's mind had suddenly tied itself a knot. He fell back on his rear, stared up at the boy with a dumbfounded gaze, then looked away. He had lied, in a sense, having not told Louis about the fake illusion.- "Louis, it wasn't a..."

"Lied!" -For the first time, Louis shouted in rage. It was that rage that set Kit off and made him give up conversation with the child. He felt utterly ashamed for some reason. Perhaps it was just the fact that Louis was angry with him? Regardless, Kit got up, brushed himself off, and began the walk back to the stairs. All the while he attempted to ignore Louis' unhappy gaze.-

----

"Definetly." -Halley had stated simply. He rubbed his arm lightly, the short slipping up his arm to reveal the grotesquly stained hands. They looked horrid, and the blood was not dry, but fresh looking. It had never been dry, though. Halley's hands, always colored like fresh, horrid blood.- "Sere, what do you say we go somewhere tonight?" -He inquired, sounding sincere.- "No plans or anything, just go somewhere." -It was an out of the blue suggestion, But Halley felt the desire to ask. Why not go out? Certainly, it was late... But, that meant nothing. Kit was busy, and Halley did not particularly wish to stand toe-to-tow with him. He had no idea what Louis might have said, and that meant trouble. He wanted to avoid trouble. But ,more importantly, he wanted to spend actual time with Sere. She was... There. And, she had kissed him. He had kissed her! His face flushed brighter.-

Sere was silent for a moment, before she nodded slowly. "Sure. ********, I don't care if we get caught, really. Won't make much of a difference anyways." She said with a shrug, standing up and heading towards the door. "Any specific place in mind?" The angel asked, turning to him with a raised eyebrow.
