Yep, you heard it! Metroid Prime Hunters will support voice chat!
Unfortunately it will be outside of actual matches. Also there's no headset bundled with the game, so you'll have to use the built in mic. On the bright side if you just use headphones while speaking you'll still have privacy. Just be sure to keep within range of the mic.
So my opinion is that while this is great news for future games to support voice chat for DS, some might not appreciate the lack of chatting during gameplay. It may be because the developers want to keep a smooth and steady frame rate, so putting it in as a separate mode sounds reasonable. But for hardcore trash talkers you might not like the lack of "interactivity" in matches.
Yet for once I'll actually be able to talk to you guys, get to know you some. Just don't try to swear so much as I'm sensitive to that sort of thing. j/k xd

Its funny, I read this on nintendo.com....and then get on Gaia and people in the threads/guilds I hang out in are talking about it.

Yay for voice chat! I think its good that they keep it out of the actualy matches, because I find it distracting. Can't wait for it to come out! whee

I Macar Swear? We never swear I'm sure... rolleyes . Its funny, I read this on nintendo.com....and then get on Gaia and people in the threads/guilds I hang out in are talking about it. What else would you expect.. -shrugs-

swear? every damn day. ^_^ if I could enjopy the voice chat on a nintendo system though I'd prefer to trash talk my opponents mid game, then again I keep my mouth shut most of the time while playing, so I keep really focused on the game.

Anyway, I think it is great that "Metroid Prime Hunters" will have voice chat. It will be easier to talk on that than "Animal Crossing Wild World". 3nodding

Well as long as it isn't a HUGE deal. I think it was mandatory so that they keep the game up to speed. After all, you don't want both talking AND choppiness in frame rate due to the system's limits while playing do you? razz
