Twi'leit ambled down the cobble streets of the bazaar trying to appear harmless. Any of his victims would have told you that the three foot five drow child was not harmless nor innocent. In fact, he was fast becoming a rather efficient pickpocket.
Out of the corner of his left eye, Twi noticed a rather pompous flamboyant dressed royal sauntering through the bazaar like they owned the place. The corners of Twi's mouth twitched upwards as his focus settled on the young female and started making an inconspicuous route around the bazaar.
Twi knew better than to take a direct route, as that would have given away his intentions. Though, any real thief or pickpocket would have know what he was up to. Twi wanted to glance around to see if anyone had made the mark but knew that would only give him away.
Twi'leit slowed as he slide past the guards that walked a few feet around the royal and slipped around the left side of the mark where his pouch was playing with the pouch of coins on his belt. Twi ignored the smaller pouch and slipped in to cut the larger back deftly and easily from the royal's belt and then slipped into the back of a tent before anyone could notice him.
Twi smiled widely, as he rearranged his clothes to hide the bulging sack and then muddied his face. He even went so far as to use some wet mud to plaster his hair back on his head. He wasn't about to figure out that he was the same kid that had been out their earlier.
"Now for a perfect get away." Twi exclaimed with a gleeful smirk.

Little did the youngster realize that his perfect getaway had been entirely observed by someone; another drow watching him from the shadows with a scowl on her face the size of Brundag.
Rae had spotted the noble as she had been making her outrageous way across the city from the other side, where her huge, lavish house stood, mocking the poor wretches who cowered in its shadow and slept in the garbage that it deposited down the nearest alleyway. Rae had seen her exit with the two bodyguards and smiled to herself; only an idiot like taht would venture out to the marketplace calling that kind of attention. Everyone knew that if you were a noble and you wanted something from the marketplace, you sent your much less conspicuous servants; nobles should only venture out in complete secrecy, and only for important events such as a house being punished fora failed raid. It had been a mistake that her stupid mother had constantly and persistently made time and again, and it was a wonder none of them had been killed for it.
Shoving the thought aside like a pesky fly, Rae had stepped into the shadows and had proceeded to tail the noble, slipping past booths and using perfect strangers as her cover, her emerald green eyes never leaving the dandy figure and the bulge at her hip that spoke volumes of a large, heavy coin purse. She could just feel her fingers closing around it, feeling the lumps of the coins within and pausing just long enough to hear the screech of outrage as the b***h realized that she was short a matron's ransom. Well it was her own damn fault for parading around with so much money! Not to mention she was a noble, of which Rae hated on principle, thus making them her favorite prey.
She was emerging from an alley, gearing herself up for the pull, when she noticed a small form darting toward the noble, slipping around the guards like a serpent and making some sort of motion with his hands, only noticable by those like her who dealt in such a profession. Her jaw dropped as the young one broke away smoothly and darted in her direction, the bump on the noble's hip no longer visible. The little brat had stolen from her intended prey! Her eyes narrowed as she watched him dart into the alley, not noticing her (she never had been one to be noticed, not since the days best left buried in her mind), and smear his face with mud. A small smile tugged at the corner of her mouth, perhaps he didn't know what he was REALLY smearing onto his face. Well, she just might inform him after whooping his little a** for taking what she had already claimed as 'her' money. Stepping out of the shadows, she glared at the smug little mud-smeared face before clearing her throat as loud as she dared. "That was MY target you stole from, you little punk."

Twi'leit didn't even notice the figure he had passed, his mind was so focused on creating the perfect disguise, so he was completely shocked and startled when the female stepped out of the shadows and berated him.
"AHHHH!!" Twi screamed, and dove around the corner to get away from her. The words hadn't really registered in his mind, as just the sight of the foreboding figure had frightened the living snot out of him.
Twi raced out of the alley and into the bazaar, his face a picture of pure fright as he entered the throng of people. The people made disgusted looks and moved out of his way seeing his face and his clothing. Twi was glad that they were giving him the head way he needed to get away from the lady behind him.
He slipped out of the bazaar and turned down a back road running as fast as his little feet could carry him. He didn't even think to try and look behind him; He knew she'd still be back there. His only hope to elude her was to weave in and out the back ways and confuse her. Only then would he be able to slip away.

Well! Rae didn't know what sort of a reaction to expect from the little thief, but screaming at the top of his voice certainly hadn't been one of them. Did he think it would call help to him? Fat chance; drow society in general had as much chance of helping their own as a dwarf had of shitting mithril. Besides, the target was still close enough that calling any sort of attention to ones self would be impractical. Still, a little kid probably didn't have the sense to know waht a seasoned picpocket would.
She only had time for one blink of surprise before the upstart turned and ran off; by then she had recovered enough to give chase. "Hey! Come back here!" She followed him outside the alley and into the throng of people, a few of which were giving her snide smiles; they probably thought that SHE was the careless one who had gotten robbed from. Well, it wasn't as though she expected them to help, but they could at least get out of her way! She was agitated as she had to shove aside stranger after stranger, at the same time keeping an eye out for the occasional retaliatory swipe from a drow infuriated with being shoved by a common street rat.
Despite the obstacles, she still managed to keep her focus on the little figure retreating through the crowd just a little ways ahead of her. He may have been able to use his size to dash about and avoid bumping into someone, but she was no stranger to the duck & weave herself, she didn't have trouble keeping him in her sights. She was glad when she saw him break away from the main road and dart down a back road. Now she could work on sprinting after him instead of the slow, congested darting she had been made to do among a crowd. "Come back here and take your lumps, you thief!"
