Anything and everything is subject to change.

Basic synopsis:

The world of Coridall was once a thriving planet where man and Coridians lived in a symbiotic life. The Coridians were weak without man and man gained power from Coridians. They bonded by accepting an "Egg" from a pairing with the ability to reawaken Coridians. From the "egg", a young Coridian would emerge and the two could live together. It's rare, but not unheard of a pair splitting up and living separate lives.

In death, they would revert to the "egg" and could be reborn as a new Coridian, although the new Coridians would be an entirely new being with no memories of its past lives.

"Eggs" can be destroyed, but only in their unawakened states.

New "eggs" can be created if two Coridians decide to combine their energy into a new "egg". This is weakening and can not be done many times by a Coridians.

Eventually, the society that lived on Coridall learned about the Pathways and began travelling, leaving two awakened eggs in their wake and a few unawakened. These were found and a bond was created.
Naiya and Heika appeared to both Lo' and Aere, telling them that now the circle could continue and that they had inherited the responsibilities as caretakers. After their Coridians appear, Aere finds out she, with her Coridian, can awaken eggs with a bit of concentration and her touch, while Lo' learns he and his Coridian can bring out the abilities in others. Thus, the shop was born.

Shop opening description/introduction: [nix?]

Outside, 'Cord Village' looks like your typical storefront. Elegantly painted sign, pretty things in the window, people every now and again going in and out. But once inside, the biggest change is outside. That's not Durem... That's a field. Trees, houses, there's a lake visible through one of the windows. Back out the front door, however, definitely leads to Durem. There's a sign near the door that explains how Cord Village is outside spacetime and the doorway is actually a short pathway between Gaia and Coridall.

Behind the counter are a few free-floating shelves, pillows their only product. Save one, with a small, colorful egg.

Fun Facts:
Coridians, shortened as Cords (for the time being, name subject to change)
Coridall is a world outside timespace. [It's the retcon'd location of the Red Dragon Inn.]
- Being outside timespace means people from any timeline can arrive on Coridall. Archers, meet Laser guns.
- Time only flows normally on Coridall when inhabited by a sentient, humanoid creature (Coridians fulfill this requirement, monkeys do not. [[ie, PCs are the only things to fulfill the requirement of time flowing]]). Why this is the case nobody knows, but if there is no sentient life on the planet, time slows to a crawl. (one month in the regular timestream equates to approximately a day on Coridall when it's uninhabited.)
- As long as Coridall is inhabited, it flows equal to regular time.
- Expect the majority of players to be from a generic Gaian timeline, with various abilities (Magic being one of them.)
- Eggs will not be entirely random, players/buyers will have to fill out a form to be eligible to purchase.
- Basic information such as age, timeframe, abilities will be needed to somewhat customize a Cord to the player.
- (Don't want to give a magic user a Magic-granting Cord, for example.)

"You listed your occupation as 'Spacetime explorer'? Lo', I thought you returned all that equipment."
"After inspecting every inch of that stuff! Besides, Bodhun, we have pathways, we don't need the gate equipment anymore." Lochoko grinned, tugging on the other mans arm with one hand and looking at his tablet in the other. "Look, there's one right around the corner from here. You know you want to come."
"Fine, fine. You are seriously going to be the death of me, Lochoko."
The walk around Durem led the pair to the front of a shop, long closed down.
"In there. Really." Bodhun looked less than amused.
"It's not even inside. Seriously, we're too close to it." Lochoko ran up the stairs and tried the door. It opened outward. Inside, Lochoko could see faint shimmer. "I think it's the doorway." He stepped in and vanished, the door closing behind him.
"God damnit, Lo'." Bodhun ran up the stairs and followed the older man through. He felt a push as he broke through the barrier and found himself inside a shop covered in dust. "That was a pathway?"
Lochoko pushed Bodhun out of the way and stuck his head through the barrier in the doorway.
"Okay, that is upsetting. Please, never ever ever do that agian."
"That pathway is miniscule," Lo' paused as he looked at Bodhun strangely. "And you have a thread attached to your back, is this place outside time?" Lochoko nearly leapt to the nearest window.
Bodhun twisted around to try and see this thread attached to his back. "I think you've lost it, dude." He gave up and looked around the abandoned shop, instead. The wall in the very back had shelves all along it, pillows filling them from end to end. On many of the pillows were what looked like stone eggs. Four large picture frame windows filled the adjoining walls, with a door smack dab in the middle on each. Behind him, on the left side of the door they had come through there was a large empty cork board. On the right was was appeared to be a cluster of four computer screens.
"Bodhun, you should check this out. There's a whole town out here!"

Bodhun poked his finger at the screens. All four turned on, displaying a blank white screen. "Oh, that's just not cool." He turned his head away from the screen and jumped, making a startled sound. In the center of the store stood two people. Two almost people. [Insert description of Heika and Naiyu here].

"What was that, Bodh-whoa! How did you get here?" Lochoko had turned to see why Bodhun had made such a weird noise and nearly made one himself.
"It's not our fault you didn't see or hear us jump." [Heika] said.
Bodhun could see just how hard Lochoko was thinking from his face. Then it quickly turned to amusement. "You can jump through spacetime?"
"Yes we can. We're here to offer you a gift." [Naiya] replied, turning to the back of the room. A soft light radiated from her hands as she moved toward the wall. A small circle appeared on the floor at her feet. Dust began to swirl around her, the small cyclone getting wider and wider until it pressed all the dust against the walls before vanishing, leaving the room clean. "These eggs back here are [Coridian] eggs. They are creatures just like Heika and myself, just much smaller and a lot less humanoid. That is one of the traits we get from you. You see, us Coridians require a bond with a sapient being. We get life from you, you get our abilities in exchange."
"And what kind of abilities do you have?" Bodhun spoke first, stopping Lochoko, who was clearly about to ask a question, quite likely the same.
"They vary." Heika spoke this time. "One all Coridians have is the ability to jump through Spacetime. It starts with solely the ability to jump here, then back to where you left, although many eventually learn to go as they please. Other than that, their abilites vary."
"Sign me up! The ability to jump is all I need!" Lochoko was already moving toward the two Coridians, ready to accept whatever.
"Slow down, boy." Bodhun said. "There's no down side to this exchange?"
"None. It's solely symbiotic. You share your life energy with us and we share ours." Naiya picked up two eggs from the shelves on the wall and set them on a counter. "These two are for you. They've been infused with more knowledge than a regular Coridian.."
".. But that's because they have some extra powerful abilities." Heika stepped back and waved a hand at the eggs. "One has the power to awaken Coridian eggs, to accept energy and create new eggs. The other has the power to understand Coridian abilities, to unlock their abilities and awaken their potential. Both are needed for a Coridian to survive. They must be stirred before they can form a bond and they must be led into their abilities."
"We do not offer you this lightly." Naiya smiled as she motioned to the two eggs. "We are asking you to be the caretakers of the Coridians. This world would be yours for as long as you were willing to do so."
"I'm game, Bodhun. It's not like we'll have to be here 24/7, right? Besides, it's not like we could find people interested in the bonding process by just staying put and waiting."
"You're far too excited about this, but your heart's in the right place, I guess. I'm game as well."
The eggs on the counter began to glow, color returning to their surface. Markings appeared on them, swirls and lines, dancing across their shells as the eggs appeared to move. "Then they've been awakened. Come, take your Coridians."
Heika raised his hands toward the eggs, a green light appearing around both his fingers and the eggs. "They are ready for you. The egg on the left can awaken the eggs from their slumber. The egg on the right can awaken their power. They know all they need to assist you in caring for the others."
