Howl didn't have to look far to find Kali. She was still curled up in the bed beside him, fiery hair strewn across her pillow, eyes buttoned up as she slept. She shifted as he sat up, reaching one hand up to rub her face, peeking one eye open questioningly. Who was moving, in her bed?
It took a few moments, but she managed to remember what was going on, and yawned as she sat up as well.
"G'morning, Howl.." She said softly, smiling over at him. "Sleep well?"

"Wonderfully," Howl beamed at her gratefully. "Thank you, Kali. I don't know what I would have done without your help." He probably wouldn't have been able to sleep without the potion, that or he would have had nightmares again. "Now, will you finish the story?" he asked. "I've never heard that one before," he added. "I'll have to look for it in my fairytale books." He would share it with Devin and Leyla, certainly. "I think Leyla would like it."
He paused and grinned at her. "Wake up," he said. "It's got to be around twelve thirty. Want me to make breakfast? Er, as long as your uncle doesn't see me... Would he get upset? I could pose as a friend's kid or something, or Katia's friend, but she'd probably tell on me..." he crossed his arms. "I could just summon us some pancakes," he suggested, "and we can eat them in here while you tell me the rest of the story."
