Ah.
So like how Catholics view Protestants?
Not really- because both Catholics and Protestants follow the Bible even if they don't agree on some things. It's more like say- you decided that you like the Bible and want to be a Catholic Priest, so you rent a building and call your church The Holy Roman Catholic Church and you're a Catholic Priest. This is really the best analogy because all of the Wiccans are Priests and Priestesses of Wicca who have been trained and initiated into the Priesthood like how all Catholic Priests are trained by the Catholic Church and then take their vows.
It's also different- because what makes Wicca itself and not something else isn't something someone can know is Wicca without initiation. Like- I'm a seeker, and the Wiccans I have spoken with on a regular basis have talked about what has me on my path. There's a chance that I might not be called to be Wiccan- though I feel like that chance is growing smaller and smaller every day. But if that's the case- if Wicca isn't what is calling me and seeking with the coven is just another step as I search, that's ok too. My HPS understands that is where I'm at- and she takes the time to talk to me about my path.
So, just like I don't claim I'm a Wiccan, a Catholic Priest or a Voudou Priest- because I haven't done what it takes to earn that title, other eclectics are in the same boat. And that's ok- if we're not there, then it doesn't make us bad people, unenlightened, spiritually flawed or anything- really, I think misrepresenting ourselves as Wiccan would do more harm than good now that I think about it.
