Name: Mara Name Meaning: Hebrew; Bitter Parent Sin: Gen 1 Wrath (Shar) Parent Virtue: Gen 1 Humility (Cestoloria) Age: Child (10 years old) Birthday: Oct. 29th (Scorpio) Hair: Short, spiky, blonde Eyes: Green Height: 4'6" Physique: Slim Unique Physical Attributes: - Head Wings: Yellow feathers tipped in red, Mara's wings sit just above and behind her ears. Very expressive, they're a good indication of her mood. - Knee Spikes: They're upward facing spikes on her knees. These can make putting on pants difficult. That doesn't stop Mara at all. - Clawed Feet: Mara's feet have black claws. Inherited Skills: - From Cestoloria: Able to float about a foot off the ground (but not able to actually fly), "friend magnet" - people want to be her friend, and when she actually tries she's very good at it. - From Shar: Can travel very fast in quick bursts (current max of 30 mph), immense strength, regenerative healing (not a whole limb, but deep wounds will heal practically over night). Sexuality: Unknown Significant Other: None Offspring: None Likes - Fights: Seriously, who of Shar's children doesn't like a good fight every now and again? Mara is no different, though she sees fighting as more of a way to make friends instead of enemies. - Roller Derby: Mara saw her first derby match on TV, and fell in love. Skating around, smashing into people? Please see Like #1. - Painting: Not something she does very often anymore, but once upon a time Mara loved to finger paint. When she does get the inspiration, she's upgraded to water-colors. Dislikes - Her new home: Can you blame her? Her world's been turned upside down, and now she has to deal with a whole new family. Yeah, she doesn't like it. - Missing her dog: Naomi had given Mara a dog, whom the girl had named "Gift". She knows where the dog is, and is glad that she's safe...but she still misses her friend. Personality: Everything you'd expect of a Wrath child, with a heaping helping of "won't you be my friend?" Add a dose of self-hatred after her recent abandonment, and you've got one lop-sided child who just wants someone to play with. Theme Song: - Pink
Speaking Voice: Pink

Name: Litural - "Lit" Age: Young Adult - 22 years old Sexuality: Gay - Fiance: DaneGender: Male Genetics: - Sin: Wrath - Virtue: Chasity Hair: Pale blonde, short and spiky Eyes: Triclops; dark green, light green, sky blue Skin: Rusty red with darker red patches Extras: Horns, third eye, "bloodied" wings, clawed hands and feet, fangs Personality: In a nutshell, Lit can be classified as a grouch. He's distrusting of people to start, but with some time warms up enough to not be a total a*****e. However, his trust is very fragile and easily broken. I wouldn't say he's a big softy under that tough-guy shell, but Lit's definitely a little more fractured than your usual Wrath spawn. Likes: Cooking, reading flying Dislikes: The smell of burnt food Theme Song: Animal I Have Become - Three Days Grace Speaking Voice: Adam Gontier (TDG lead vocals) Name: Auryn - "Ryn" Age: Child - 7 years old Sexuality: Straight Gender: Female Genetics: - Sin: Pride - Virtue: Kindness Hair: Dark red, wavy but soft Eyes: Milky pink Skin: Light tan, green and yellow scales Extras: Little wings, stubby tail, slight scaling on shoulders, feet and legs, gray fingers and toes, blind Personality: Caring, sweet, gentle...everything you'd expect out of a Kindness child. But there's that streak of Pride that makes her stubbornly independent and just a little too overconfident in her abilities. Likes: Meeting new people, singing, getting dressed by herself Dislikes: Scratchy fabrics (like burlap), getting her wings stuck in her shirts Theme Song: Break Away - Kelly Clarkson Adult Speaking/Singing Voice: Lady GaGa Name: Santana Oota-Dabun "DayStar" Age: 27 Sexuality: Straight Gender: Male Genetics: Native "Were" Wolf Hair: White Eyes: Red Skin: Pale; white furred in wolf form Extras: Albino. "True form" is that of a timber wolf, uses "Earth Magic" to take on other, more human forms. Poor eyesight and needs reading glasses. Eyes are also sensitive to bright lights. Personality: Very laid back and down to earth. Takes the world in stride and doesn't get riled up easily. Does have some "alpha male" tendencies, but balances them with meditation. Likes: Full moons, quiet nights, the city (strangely enough) Dislikes: Being fully one form or another (prefers his half-state), sunlight Theme Song: TBA Speaking Voice: Chad Kroeger (Nickleback lead vocals)

The Jeep rolled up to the outside the facility, sitting in a parking spot for a moment before finally turning off. Lit sighed, climbing out of his car and heading up to the building. Yesterday had been a tough day on the job, and the last thing he'd wanted was a letter from Seven's requesting him to appear there. It was like a court summons...from the devil himself. So there was more than a bit of contempt in his scowl as he made his way inside, the receptionist pointing him in the direction he was supposed to go.
He half expected to run into Pepper as he walked through the halls, yet hoping he wouldn't. He certainly wasn't in the mood to banter today, still completely unsure as to why he'd been asked here.
"I swear, if this is another damn mission," he muttered, pausing as he heard footsteps heading his way.
Lit just waited, not exactly poised, but close. The footsteps were quick, nervous. First they sounded like they were getting closer, but they'd stop abruptly and head in the other direction...before turning around and coming back again. Whoever was walking had an important issue on their mind, that was for sure, and it seemed like they couldn't decide to go through with it or not. Confident he wouldn't be bothered, Lit continued on his way.
The tech, however, was certainly not expecting to run into Litural. He gasped when the red-skinned spawn appeared around the corner, giving several blinks; like he thought he recognized Lit. Which may have been true, but the spawn didn't remember anyone from his time in the building, so who knew. Then again, he realized that he looked a lot like Shar, and Duncan...maybe that's why he kept getting these weird looks?
Ruffling paper brought Litural back, and he watched as the tech flipped through several sheets attached to the clip board he clutched. The man was muttering something to himself.
"I don't understand this...I mean, I do...bu-but it really doesn't make any sense. Though I suppose if you had children of your own, it would be the same, wouldn't it? I just don't get it myself..."
"Excuse me?" Litural asked. Was he being talked about? What was this guy saying?
"Oh, oh! Right, yes I'm sorry," the tech said with only a pause in his looking through the paperwork. "I was supposed to be showing you to the meeting room, but you see she rather frightens me and I was going to go tell them to find someone else, but I wasn't sure how well that was going to go over, either. So I was pacing outside here, and then you showed up...now where did I put that pen? You don't need me to walk with you to see her, do you?"
That was a lot of information for Lit to process at one time. "Wait, wait...wait!" he finally snapped. "Who 'her'?"
The tech jumped when Lit shouted, trying to hide behind the clip board, "They...they didn't tell you in the letter?" the tech stammered.
"No, they didn't tell me in the letter!" What the hell is wrong with these people? The right hand didn't know what the left was up to! "Who HER?" He really...didn't like where this was going.
The tech swallowed, cleared his throat...and carefully flipped a page. "We were alerted to the disappearance of Miss Naomi, a guardian, several weeks ago. It took us some time to find the whereabouts of the specimen, but soon discovered that the guardian had left the spawn with her parents before departing on a personal mission. The child's adoptive 'grandparents' live outside the facility's means of observation, and with no return of the guardian in sight, we were forced to retrieve the child and attempt to place her in a new home."
Lit's attitude hadn't improved. At first, the idea of another dead-beat guardian made his stomach flip, though it seemed this one at least had made some arrangements for their kid, or at least had planned to return. The sneer on his face turned into something more sad, though still...well, still Litural.
"So you're telling me that another one of us got dumped. Ok, what does that have to do with me? What, you want Santana to take in another Spawn and are afraid I'm gonna tear it in half? I've been doing fine with that, besides I'm getting married soon. I won't be home forever."
There was a long pause as the tech stared at Lit, then slowly shook his head, "No, Sir, they're not placing the spawn with your guardian...they want you to be responsible for it."
"WHAT?" he bawlked. "No...no, no no. There has to be some sort of mistake. I'm not...no!" It was the final say! They were nuts, giving him a child - seriously, what was the world's obsession with him having kids? Gods, what would Dane say to this? He could never! He had enough on his plate without having to worry about a child!
"But...bu-but!" the tech looked around frantically, feeling the blood run out of his face as Lit turned to walk away. He couldn't leave! He had to take the child with him! "But...she shares your DNA! She's your sister!"
It echoed in the hall the same way it echoed in Lit's head. His sister. Lit's main eyes closed, almost a wince.
The tech was just babbling, desperate, "They thought...they thought that since you come from similar re-homing situations, that being with you would be good for her! You'd know how to handle her...her..."
"Anger?" Lit supplied, and the tech didn't answer.
Of course, it was Shar's blood that they shared. They wouldn't need someone like him if they were linked through an angelic donor; no one had trouble with Avis' children. Sighing, Lit turned back around...pausing when he stood, towering, over the tech.
"Well? Lead the way. If this is seriously going to happen, I'd like to get her home as soon as possible," Lit grumbled, watching the tech flutter about with his paper, and then start walking off. "The less time she spends here, the better," he said, sighing again as he followed along down the hall.

Here’s the thing about Wrath children; they never need a reason for a fight. Always on edge and poised to strike, the smallest provocation is enough to start a brawl, and that’s on a good day. That’s when they have a good home life. See them after being betrayed, abandoned, and lost in their own anger; at that point, it’s not the moment that’s causing their rage, but they feel like the entire world is against them. Normal children throw temper-tantrums, but Shar’s decedents wage an all-out war.
It didn’t matter what set her off; that wasn’t the point, and it stopped being important long ago. There was only the anger, fueled by a maelstrom of nasty, wretched emotions.
The problem was her target. Mara hadn’t been in the home for ten minutes and she’d launched herself at Litural, fangs bared and screeching. A weaker man would have gone through the wall. Lit took the hit with an ‘oof’ and responded pretty much the way you’d expect of him. He crouched onto the ground as he roared back at her with his wings flared out, looking huge in comparison to the young girl. Mara landed on the floor with a thud and a growl, pulling her legs up under her body to ready another attack.
She never got the chance. Lit was older, stronger, and actually in control of what his genetics said he was. Oh sure, he wanted to break every bone in her body. That was a given. While his third eye gleamed with a maniacal sort of joy, just generally enjoying itself, Lit’s goal was to get Mara to submit. At the very least, she needed to calm down before she got seriously hurt. There was a part of him that wondered if he had ever been this bad for Santana…but the wiser side already knew the answer to that question.
When it happened, it went very fast. Mara sprung, screaming again, and Lit swung; his opened hand connected with her shoulder, swatting her like a paper ball before watching her tumble across the floor. With an open opportunity, Lit pinned the girl to the ground, face down with a knee between her shoulder blades and arms restrained out to her sides.
“What the hell was that?” he shouted, panting, wings bristling with every feather standing on edge.
“Get off me!” Mara screamed back, attempting to free herself, ear wings thrashing.
It was like a strange flashback. Litural remembered his first time brawling with Santana, the man had held him down in exactly this same way. It was effective, and more than a little uncomfortable. It had worked, though, just like it was working now. Unable to lift her body, the girl could do nothing but struggle.
“Let me go!” she shouted again, but there was an edge of defeat in her voice.
“Are you going to attack me again?” Lit asked. Mara’s answer was a growl. “Then no, I’m not letting you go. What the hell where you thinking, anyway?”
There wasn’t a response from Mara for a good, long pause. There was just the anger radiating off her. Then, her demeanor changed…the girl mumbled something, and her ear wings drooped and her body almost seemed to sag.
“What?” the older Spawn asked, not having heard her.
“I wasn’t good enough!” She thrashed as she said it, then suddenly dissolved into a sob, shaking. “I wasn’t strong enough! I could have found her!”
It was done, and Lit knew it. Releasing his grip and shifting off Mara, he moved to sit near her with his knees pulled to his chest. The younger spawn remained where she was, trembling as she cried before curling into a ball.
“I…should have d-done…s-s-SOMETHING!” she screeched the last word, sniffling loudly and rubbing her face against the back of her arm.
They were like that for a while; Mara crying, whimpering at times, blubbering incoherently…and Lit just sitting, letting her get it out. It wasn’t until he was almost sure she’d cried herself to sleep that he cleared his throat, making her jump.
“It hurts,” he said, his tone flat. The way he usually spoke when talking about things in his past. “You wonder what you did wrong, or why they didn’t think you were good enough. I guess in your case, it’s more what you could have done to make it right.”
Mara watched Litural as he spoke, her eyes bloodshot and snot smeared under her nose. She narrowed her gaze when he claimed to understand how she felt, “What do you know about it?” she hissed.
“My original guardian left me too,” he explained. “Just up and abandoned me.”
“She didn’t leave me!” Mara’s anger flared, and she sat up as she shouted. “I was fine where I was! They took me away! They wouldn‘t even let me bring my dog! Why couldn‘t they just leave me with my grandparents?”
“Because she’s not coming back, Mara.” Lit’s words were more serious than ever.
It hurt because it was true. The techs weren’t very good at explaining it to her - or maybe she’d just been too angry to understand it - but Mara got the basic idea. Naomi wasn’t coming back, something had gone wrong on her mother’s latest mission, and Sevens couldn’t leave a “precious experiment” where they couldn’t keep tabs on her. They needed her close, so they’d brought her back and given her to the first person they thought might be able to handle her.
Litural sighed, rubbing his temples, “Listen, I’ll tell you the same thing I was told: you can either fight this, or roll with it. Fighting it feels good to start, but believe me when I tell you it gets tiring. Fast.”
This was when he stood again, looking down at her. While he wasn’t out right cold, there was a chill that ran down Mara’s spine. Despite her scowl, her ear wings drooped. She was beat. She’d known from the start this wasn’t like the fights she’d gotten into in the past, while making friends and showing affection. This had been different, and for some weird reason her stomach felt tied up in knots.
“Don’t ever attack me again,” Lit’s voice was commanding now. “Don’t attack anyone in this family, and that includes yourself. It’s not your fault, and it can get better if you let it.”
Just like that, he started to walk away. Mara watched him pause at a doorway and say something about her room being upstairs, and that she should get ready for dinner. He sounded so far away though. Finally starting to come down off her rage, everything seemed distant and fuzzy to Mara. Her mind was a mess of thoughts, with a new and very wicked voice joining the chorus. It hissed in her ear, repeating her earlier statement about not being good enough. She wasn’t good enough for anything.
A little wobbly, Mara managed to make her way upstairs and find a place that looked like a girl’s room. The bed was soft, and with her head still swimming she crawled into it. It’d been a long day - a long string of days, really. Food didn’t sound interesting, but sleep sure would be nice. Pulling the covers over her head, she ignored the rip of her knee spikes in the sheet as she shut out the world. If only shutting out that pesky whisper was just as simple.
