Okay, so i want to know a proper way to get rid of a Ouija board. I got mine a while ago, before i was into magick, and i've been told by many of my pagan/wiccan friends that they are a big NO to have. I know you're not supposed to burn them. And someone also said to bury it far away from your home. Anyone know a good way to dispose of it?

They're made by like Parker Bros. Don't stress yourself out about it. Just throw it in the bin if it really bothers you. It's just a bit of cardboard.

Several years ago, I got one but then got too scared to use it, so I just gave it to a friend who wasn't. (Yes, I am a terrible, terrible person. mrgreen ) That was proper enough for me, and as far as I know she didn't get cursed and neither did I, so I think you'll be all right.

I've heard the same thing. Like it's bad luck to burn Tarot cards and all, but yea. I don't really think just tossing it will harm you. As long as there is no connection, which I really doubt there is, nothing should come of it.

Burning is bad. But you can bury it far from home. Just make sure you use a ring of salt around where you are burying it and either ground or whole sage to purify.

I'm with Sanguina on this one. It's just a board, a physical object, it is inert, dispose of it just as you would anything else made of wood or cardboard. If you really feel the need to do something more to it, spray it down with salt water first, that should clear up any random energy it may have picked up.
I don't advise burying or burning it simply because you don't know what was in the ink or glue they used to manufacture the board (or varnish in the case of wood boards), so it is best to let it go to a trash facility to be disposed of.
