So I want to keep Sailor Pegasus, and I'm thinking this will be her new look. I'm going to expand big time in a a drawing But I'm thinking of maybe....maybe starting a story. What I need help on is how to really write one. What should I start with? How should I start? Anyone here who wrote a story can you help me, give me some suggestions.

For a story, my suggestion is to plan at least the major plot points out. How your character starts off, who the main bad guy is, the other senshi that she meets, that sort of thing. That way, you have at least a bit of bone structure to keep yourself on track. Then, let your writing style take over. Some people prefer to write with even more structure than that, so if that's you then plan out more details and write up an outline. Some people prefer to just write freely and let the story evolve in different directions on its own, so if that's you then just sit down and start writing! Remember that you can always edit and rewrite your first draft until you're satisfied, so don't worry if you write down something that ends up not fitting properly later. Good luck and have fun!

Having a good grasp of where the setting is helps, too. In my latest volume, the characters end up travelling the world in search of their enemies, going from Tokyo to New York, then Brazil, then to Greece. Even if it's places you've never been, you can kind of get a feel for it by doing research on the location
[EDIT] Also, notice your surroundings. You'd be surprised where inspiration comes from. I once wrote an entire fight scene in my head while I was sitting in a movie theater waiting for a movie to start.

I've tried writing a story with no true direction, just the who/what/where/when/how thing and it felt like it would enver finish. Guess I do need the more structured way. Do you know any websites at all to help me? Adrian Tyndall Having a good grasp of where the setting is helps, too. I roleplay (which should help a little with writing) and writing the area before actually starting is awesome. Thank you.

Do you know any websites at all to help me? Some websites that I like to use are here, here, and here. (The second one has a lot of Harry Potter info because it's based off of a HP website, but it has lots of links to general articles that are helpful for all types of writing. The third one is a site for grammar help, which is something that I personally find very useful but not everyone is interested in the grammar aspect of writing.) Hopefully some of these sites are helpful for you, and a lot of them link to other sites as well so you should be able to find something that fits your personal style. And of course, there are tons of helpful people in the guild that probably wouldn't mind reading over drafts or letting you bounce ideas off of them. whee

Cool...! I don't really plan my stories, they just come to me. Usually when the wind's good. It's just my element(non-character). So yeah, trying to write a story without inspiration is pointless, to say it bluntly. It never ends well. And it's hard as hell too.

I have a plan, but when I was writing it was just kind of going and going and never seemed to end XD But yeah, I'm waiting on the big inspiration to hit.
