On the day of, a small group of LGTians managed to brave the punishing adverse weather in the town square to partake in something so epic that it had never been attempted by mortals before. Five fearless souls risked their very lives to showdown in the first ever Duck Duck Goose tournament!
As the group assembled, the air crackled with tension and uncertainty. The very sky went dark as the contestants fell into place around the fountain. With steely voices, the rules were laid bare and agreed upon, and after a single demonstration, the games began in earnest!
Taking the lead, the diminutive Raficat began the first round. Unfortunately for her, she was quickly eliminated by the dark horse QT2, who quickly began crushing his opponents without mercy. After knocking out cnoisy, Rafi, and Fairy, the carrot wielding trickster took on Guacamole! The wait was tense, the tricks were varied, and the outcome unsurprising; QT2 was the undisputed champion of the first round.
Still writhing in the agony of defeat, cnoisy decided to withdraw from the competition on the basis of a pending headache, rather than risk defeat once more. Two players down, the remaining three took their places once more and prepared to battle.
Taking the lead, Guacamole started off the second round by quickly dealing the finishing blow to Raficat. With only one opponent standing between him and victory, he quickly zeroed in on his opponent. Attempting the same trickery that he himself had been subject to, Guacamole foolishly overlooked the telltale signs of a deadly trap... lag. Launching full force into the race for the prize, it was obvious to see; that the winner of round two was fairy.
Perhaps there is something to be said for dressing the part when you need the speed of a hare. Or perhaps they used their carrots to cheat! Regardless of how, QT2 & Fairy emerged victorious in the first ever LGTYYY Duck, Duck, Goose tournament!
