People say I'm:
Maks (he only goes by Maksim when in an official setting) is some form of noble from Scanra sent as an emissary to Tortall to maintain semi-stable relations between the 2 countries. He claims to be a low-ranking, inconsequential noble but certain individuals at the Palace have doubts about this, not willing to believe that Scanra would send such an unimportant person for such an important job. There are others within the Palace who whisper that he is a spy, but there is no evidence yet to support this.
He’s handsome and knows it, full of charm and wit, which helps to soothe any ruffled feathers caused by his nationality. He flirts shamelessly and for all appearances is a flighty Casanova. However, he is quite skilled as a diplomat, when he wants to be.
