People say I'm:
Frasurlund is a port city near the border of Scanra. Due to the proximity of her childhood home to the border of Scanra, Katya is fluent in the language, a fact that she tends to downplay. Many of the people in the palace are wary of her mainly because of her perceived ties to Scanra. Therefore, Katya tends to be quiet and a loner, though she has a biting sense of humor when provoked.
While Gifted, her Gift is relatively weak, only useful for basic things. However, her Gift does allow her to sense the presence of other beings, human or otherwise, and their proximity to her current location. If their emotions are strong enough, she can occasionally get a feel for those as well.
Though slender and head and shoulders shorter than most of the male knights, Katya can hold her own with a sword and knives, though hand to hand combat is her weak point. Hobbies include reading, amateur jewelry making and studying languages.
As a page and squire, she did not make too many friends due in part to her natural inclination towards introversion but also because of her very Scanran appearance. Instead of wallowing in isolation, she embraced it and spent her time reading, studying and training, earning her to grudging respect of her instructors. Her isolation also earned her the nickname “Frost.” However, that name is only used behind her back, never to her face.
Once a squire, Sir Myles of Olau became her knight master, instructing her in spy craft as well as knightly duties. Her attention to detail and ability to adapt to most situations caught the Spymaster’s attention and he encouraged Katya to work on reconnaissance as a part of future diplomatic envoys.
Freshly knighted, Katya spent the summer with her family in Frasurlund and has had little to no news from the palace. In the autumn she will return to the palace for the first time as a lady knight.
