"Cassie!" The mermaid yelled back with a laugh. She gave up trying to hit him and began tossing the last orb up and catching it instead. Cass lowered her voice when he was closer. "Cassie Sephora, resident mermaid terror." She giggled and smiled at him. "You should come here more often Nick." She lay on her back now, holding the small water ball and forming it into different shapes. I wonder... "Think fast!" Cassie called and tossed the water, currently star shaped, at him. She was curious what would happen if someone other than her held the water. The mermaid thought it would keep the shape but she'd never actually tested this.

"Cassie," Nicholas repeated as he floated near her, almost seemingly laying on his stomach. "That name suits you." He smiled at her watched her play around with the water orb in her hand. It was nothing new for Nicholas; he had come across many others who were able to manipulate some sort of element. He is still one of them, of course, but he still found it entertaining to watch nonetheless. "I should, shouldn't I?" he answered her. "It's a good thing I live here! It's been a while since I've seen a mermaid. Especially one as fun as you." He let out a laugh. Before he realized what Cassie had shouted, Nicholas saw her toss over the star-shaped water. Unlike those who suddenly forget that the object was not solid and try to catch it with their hands, Nicholas' reaction was to spin the wind all around the star-shaped liquid in order to retain its shape while maintaining it in the air. He grinned at her and began to toss it around like a small ball.

The girl wasn't surprised to hear that Nicholas lived here, this place was so big after all. There were bound to be people she didn't know. "Well, I don't think I've ever met someone like you Nick, but then again I have to stick around water." Cassie said and smiled brightly at his compliment. "What's the point in doing something if you're not going to have any fun? " She watched as he used wind to catch the star and clapped again. He always did something she didn't expect. "Smart, thought I'd get you that time too." She laughed, watching as he used air to play with it.

Nicholas continued to do tricks and trying to show off with his newly formed wind ball, smiling from ear to ear like an entertained child. "I asked a Water Fairy a few hours ago to help me heal someone," he mentioned randomly at the talk of Cassie having to stick around in the water. "It was at the Elven Domain, I think." Nicholas let the star-shaped water float back toward Cassie and stopped the wind in front of her so she could catch it if she wanted. "They don't seem to do anything fun. They have no sense of humor!" he laughed. "They tried to capture me, but I let them, anyway. The queen herself brought me back her personally." Nicholas sounded as if he was bragging. He began to fly upside, his hair falling toward the water as he continued to grin at Cassie. "And of course I'm smart; I outwitted the queen's personal guard twice!"

Cassie remained floating on her back as she watched his tricks with awe. "What happened to them?" She put out her hand to catch the water and held onto the star. The mermaid paid little attention to it now though, she wanted to know what had happened. "Boooooring." She giggled when Nicholas told her they didn't do anything funr or have a sense of humor. "The queen?" Cassie pictured a rather old looking female elf and laughed. "Twice?" Her eyes widened with curiosity. "How did you do that?"

"Well!" Nicholas began, still floating upside-down, "I was flying over their river when I saw this girl just sitting there. So I splashed water at her! Out of no where... she puts her bow and arrow to my neck!" Nicholas eyes widened dramatically before he flew back in the upward position. "Her guard was there, too. A dark elf... Big and tall! He was huge! More than six feet! He flicked one finger at me, and before I knew it, there was water coming right at me! It was even turning to ice! It came closer and closer," he began to float away slowly from Cassie as if the ice had been coming right at him as he described.

Cassie giggled when Nicholas said he splashed a girl with water, that sounded fun. Her giggle turned into a gasp at the male's next words, eyes growing wide. "An arrow?!" Who would aim an arrow at someone for splashing them?! These elves really didn't sound like much fun. Her mind pictured giant dark purple elf with a bored look when Nicholas spoke of the queen's guard. Images flew through her mind as he talked. "Did you get away from the ice?"
((Sorry, been pretty busy and I forgot about this. :sweat))

"Oh, he was fast... But... I was faster!" Nicholas zoomed back in front of Cassie smiling proudly. "I bent my knee down, and waited for the perfect moment. And then, I spun so fast that the ice broke from my wind!" Nicholas spun around slightly, causing a breeze to flow around him as well as cause the water beneath him to ripple in response. He came to an immediate stop as he continued to face the mermaid and continued telling the story. "He even wanted to bring me in for questioning! He asked the girl first though while trying to trap me! He didn't even wait for her response anyway! The elf wasn't being very smart at addressing the girl as the Queen so quickly, though. If he wanted to protect her, he should have kept that a secret. But it's not like I wanted to fight, so I raised my hands up," Nicholas motioned along with his story-telling, "and stood there. But just standing there was boring anyway, so I thought I'd have a conversation with them. And they still got mad!"
(It's okay. College is starting tomorrow for me, so I'll be busy, too.)

Cassie hair flew behind her some at the breeze he created and she giggled. The elven guard didn't sound like a very good one. Shouldn't he have asked before trying to capture Nicholas then wait for the girl's reply. The mermaid thought Nick was right, if you're trying to protect someone you shouldn't go around telling everyone who they are. And of course just standing, or sitting, around would be boring that's why Cassie always looked for something to do. She laughed at his last words. "They got mad at you for that?! What's wrong with them?"

"That's why elves have no sense of humor at all!" Nicholas shook his head with his arms crossed in a disappointed way. "Not to mention, the dark elf used the same technique again! And this was after the Queen agreed to take me in, too. He was interesting, though; he knew how to use two elements at the same time. One was heat. I think he tried to produce heat pressure in the air to stop all the wind from flowing. He had already figured out that I was a Wind-user." Nicholas shrugged as if it should have already been obvious that he was able to use the wind. There was no way anyone could not figure this out with the fact that Nicholas never once stayed in one spot but flew around the air like it was water. "And, of course, I was completely disappointed, but I let myself get caught by the ice technique. It's funny because he was using heat pressure to stop the wind in the air, but tried to use ice to trap me. That would melt, wouldn't it?" he laughed.
"But I didn't use my wind that time. Nope! You know what I did? I waited until the layer of the ice was less thick and just kicked my way out! I couldn't believe how forceful they were! I told them that if they had just said please, I would have gone along with them. Maybe." Nicholas thought about that last part as he remembered back to the scene. He tapped his chin with his finger and shrugged with a grin. "Ah, well, I went with them anyway when the dark elf asked. 'It's not the Queen's place to ask any subject to please do something, so I'll have to ask for her' is what he said. Nicholas had attempted to mimic a deep, dark voice to represent the elf, Orcus, speaking. "But it's not like I was one of her subjects, right?" he laughed and winked at Cassie.
