I've been reading a lot by him recently, and I have been enjoying myself.

He tells the stories in a clear, concise way that makes me want to read more, and not completely boring me out of my skull.

For example: His short story collection Nightmares and Dreamscapes had a story in it. It was the first one in the book, in fact. It was called Dolan's Cadillac.

The story revolved around a teacher who wanted revenge on a man named Dolan. Dolan had killed his wife, and the man wanted to kill Dolan as payback.

He devised a plan to do it.

This story was a good twenty or thirty pages long, and most of the description was vivid and the events were logical.

At times, it droned on, but it kept me reading.

Now, I know people have different opinions on him, so I was going to ask you: What do you think of Stephan King?

Post what you think, why you think that, and your favorite book by him (If you happen to have one.)

Never heard of Stephen King. >.<
Well, I think I have, but I don't remember reading anything by him D: It sounds like he's a pretty good writer, though, I'll have to check his stuff out sometime :9
Wait, he's not some creepy old dead guy like Charles Dickens, right?? :0

Stephan King is a recent author who specializes in horror. He's written a lot of books, one of the more knows is Animal Cemetary and Cujo. Most of his books have been made into movies, and pretty much all of them are bad. My personal favorite Stephen King book I've read is Tommyknockers and Misery. I own a lot of them, but he just didn't capture meonce I started reading books like Ellen Hopkins and a Series called The Mortal Instruments.
