tsundere, hot headed, cocky
Gage knows for a fact that he is a remarkable trainer, and he's not afraid to say so. But he's not so low that he would pick a fight against someone he knows he would beat, and is a bit humble in a way. Though if chance given he'll take on anyone, and that's when his cockiness really shines.
He's incredibly tsundere though. Especially around his three childhood friends, Yurimi especially, getting into arguments with her a good majority of the time. But he honestly adores them, and has their back till the end. All around he's a loud but pretty cheerful guy.

"Don't listen to Kouhei, he dosen't count Yurimi!"
Gage has lived in the Kanto region his whole life, with Viridian being his hometown. He has a mom, dad, and an older sister five years older then him. They're a rather close family.
His childhood friend Kouhei also lived in Viridian, so the two were close. One day when the two of them were playing in the Viridian forest, it was there through fate that they would meet their soon to be other childhood friend, and would complete the amazing trio they are. At first they mistooken the cries for a ghost, and worked up each others imaginations. But when they found where the cries were coming from, what they found was a lost little Yurimi. Sense that day the three of them have been inseparable.
As life when on the three of them became renowned trainers, noted for their skills as trainers, even people from other regions knew their names. Despite Gage's skill in training and battling, he won't admit it out loud. But sometimes he gets nervous during a battle. If only cause he doesn't want to lose another Pokemon, it's a touchy subject for him. It's obvious he cares for his Pokemon, and the Pokemon he's battling with. He's a big softie under that cocky exterior.
