Matasoga Shanderaa FOUND IT. Just before Gym 6. Super common too. heart They do look pretty cool. Usually I just catch the first version of whatever I find, but I'll wait for a female. You want it to be your Gaia screen name, then? I do get a little catch-happy. When I saw the chinchilla Pokemon I caught the first one I saw, but then I went back for the male... I don't think that anyone who knows me well enough and has kept up with me over the past two years will need to ask what I named him. It's not quite like having him back, of course and maybe it's silly, but it feels nice to have him in my party. Heck it can be either. But yeah. Either that or Jess, take your pick. And it's not silly at all, don't worry! It's like I've said for a long time of this series... it can be oddly comforting. One of the reasons it's so amazing IMO.

I agree, and I hope that you'll be happy to know that I now have a Litwick named Shanderaa, though it won't be progressing in level for some time, since I'm too attached to all of my party members to box them up. Kenny may be awfully weak, but I'm rushing him to level 45 so that I can evolve him and have him already know all of his best moves... And he just hit level 40. I hope that evolution will provide a big boost. He needs it. As fof Liepard, I tried at least once to catch one for you, Sereniti, but she was most uncooperative. Hopefully I'll run into another, soon.

I've posted here before but since you brought it up this morning Josh, I figured I'd actually put some thought into it. I'm going to say Snubbull, playful, affectionate, known for its devotion and loyalty? Sounds about right. Also I looked up its evolved form which said it was extremely timid and that they flail about to fend off attackers. Plus they're pink, which is a color I tend to become fairly easily. I doubt it could get much closer.

It has been quite a long time since I've played Black. After reading through this thread, it really makes me want to pick it back up. It'll have to wait until this evening, after I get off work.
I also need to get back in to the habit of signing on to the PGL and visiting the Dream World. There are so many berries to be harvested~.

And do you have any Pokemon to which you would have us give your name? It's the Pokemon Global Link. It's where you go after you've put a pokemon to bed, so you can visit the Dream World. You can befriend pokemon from previous generations there, without beating the Elite 4. There are also promotions offering select pokemon and c-gear skins, which can be unlocked with passwords that can be found in magazines/other sites. (Googling for them works just as well, though.) As far any pokemon that I wouldn't mind others naming after me, I am quite fond of Scolipede, Whimsicott, Maractus, Joltik, and Reuniclus. (Well, all of their evolutions, really.)

Matasoga I would be thrilled if you were to name any Abras or Sneasels that you catch in either game "Josh." My favorite form of each are Kadabra and Sneasel, respectively. As for the name "Matasoga" I would request that you do not use it for either. It is much better suited for a Garchomp (what, with him being draconic and blue) particularly if the Garchomp comes to know any powerful electric moves. Of course it's all much more gratifying if the natures of the Pokemon are also related to the natures of those whom they named for. I don't have a chart in front of me, but I think that you all know me well enough to make that call for yourself. I actually do have a Garchomp named Matasoga. I got him way before I happened upon this post, but I think it's funny.

As the blue dragon of Pokemon (that isn't a serpent, and stays blue through to the end of his evolution) it makes a lot of sense. I'm glad that I'm not the only one to have seen it. I just wish that more people responded, telling me which names they used.

Usually I prefer to have pokemons with their original names but that is a good idea.. If ever I wanted a pokemon named with my gaia name I suppose it would probably be Mismagus.

So it was the last syllable.. I had a feeling that the names had a certain connection to it but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.. Thanks.

I think a Ralts named Nana would wind up decent. But I am more of a water-type pokemon person.
