Ok I am saving my money...only $20 a month...to buy a nintendo DS and Pokemon Black or White. But I was hoping you guys would help me out a little, since I dont usually buy gaming systems or games. I had a few questions...
1) Which of the DS systems allows you to play old Nintendo Gameboy Advanced SP games?
2) If I wanted to trade between Fire Red or Emerald to Black/White do I need a connector cable and another generation game? Or is there a way to do it without that?
3) Anyone know a good site to compare prices on systems..Ill laugh if you say Ebay...

The first Nintendo DS and the Nintendo DS Lite allow you to play GBA games.
I believe they took that feature out when the came out with the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL.
Don't think they're re-adding it into the Nintendo 3DS either.
And to trade, I think, if I remember, it's possibly to trade Pokemon from the GBA games by having just the cartridge in the GBA slot in the system while going to certain zone in Diamond/Pearl.
You select the Pokemon and migrate and they upload into the Pal Park.
I don't think they added that into Black/White and it's not in Platinum either. Not in HeartGold/SoulSilver, too.
But to trade them directly into Black/White, I think you'd need another Nintendo DS and Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. :/
And I don't know a good site but the Nintendo DS and Lite are probably going to be cheaper then the DSi and the new 3DS they'll come out with.

1) Nintendo ds/ds lite. dsi doesnt. and 3ds is overpriced.
2) By using a ds/ds lite, using one of the pokemon games (I know this works on diamond/pearl) you can open an island area known as pal park and transfer pokemon from your game boy advanced games in the ds to it. Then, simply using nother ds trade them to your black white games. If you dont have another ds or other pokemon games, sence I dono if black and white will have these options, just quickly borrow them from a friend. And trading between ds's is wireless.

Yup yup.
Fire red/Emerald> Pearl/Platinum/Diamond> (via wirless 2 ds's)> Black/White.
Here's an idea. Do you have WiFi? You can complete your pokedex by requesting pokemon over the GPS (global trade station)
OR, instead of trying to find another ds to trade, you can
-Bring your pokemon from Emerald/FR to Pearl/Diamon etc
-Trade them to me over WiFi
-Swich your game cartridge to black or white
-Recive your pokemon back from me.
Just letting you know the help is there, should you want it.
I'm getting White, because I want Ranculus and Zekrom, but you can get all the Pokemon from the GPS and from trade forums here on Gaia.

Hmmmm if you are getting white maybe I should get Black. Then we can trade with and battle eachother xD I do have a wireless modem and I can try to access it with my DS. CAn i play Black on the DS or do I need a DSi?

Hey guys this person just made me a new Pokemon Sprite of my avi for free!! You guys should get some to <3 oh but there is 1 catch. You must make art of thier avi with one of the original 151 pokemon. I used Gastly. Here is a link you will see at the bottom of page 1 my pic for her and her sprite for me. Which will be in my sig soon. Here yah go!
