So I was just wandering the internet looking for Alice In Wonderland related stuff, when I came across this. Apparently there's a new Alice in Wonderland play on Broadway called Wonderland the Musical. Its apparently a modernized twist on the Alice In wonderland story , and will have most of the usual cast (Alice, the Mad Hatter, the white Rabbit, the white knight , and the Caterpillar ) This is the broadway webpage for this musical Wonderland the MusicalDiscuss: What do you think of this play? Would you go see it? Is a modernized version of Alice in Wonderland a good idea? What character do you wish they'd added who isn't in the musical

Oh wow; how interesting! Thanks for finding this, Kahlan!
Well, I immediately love the idea. I have a soft spot for musicals. But I'm really interested how it'll go over... I'll bet the more modern slant will really appeal to people, actually. I'd love to go see it, but I am too far away. So, it'll be to YouTube! ...or something. XD
*waits impatiently for the page to load* Interneeeeeeet!!!!! >_<

Ah yes I heard about this but forgot to mention it.
I'm quite interested in it; it seems different from other modern takes on Wonderland. Although I am sometimes wary of modern takes on the stories. I would like to watch this though. Although I can't because I'm in the UK; but hey if it gets popular enough it may go international.
I like the poster art~

You are welcome, I found this just so interesting I had to share it.
I'm not so sure that a modern take is a good thing, I mean it appears that much like the Disney Version this musical blends the two books together. Leaving out interesting characters that are interesting to the story like the March Hare

Hmmm... well maybe they gave the character a different name? There could be a character representing the March Hare or something.

Well, the Cheshire Cat is called El Gato (which is awesome haha) so Marchy probably has a different name too.... also, that Mad Hatter costume is utterly win. I honestly have a good feeling about this musical...

@Night: Its interesting that they changed the name of the Cheshire cat, I wonder if that's going to affect anything. Like if people will recognize him without him being called Cheshire cat . Hopefully, it just wouldn't be the same without the march hare.
@Azure: I bet they did, and that's why I Didn't see him on the cast list.

I'm literally DYING to go to NY and see this. @_@ And I agree that the Mad Hatter's costume is absolute WIN.
Did anyone sign up for the newsletter and get the free song download? If you did, what do you think of the song? I think it's beautiful, and makes me want to go see the musical even more. XD
@Azure: I was just checking the cast list, and there is a character by the name of Rabbit, as well as the White Rabbit. So maybe Rabbit is their adaptation of the March Hare?

Lady Lisa Simpson Do they even have TweedleDum and Dee? Nope I looked over the cast list again and it does not appear Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are characters in the musical.
