Um... lets not forget that CS5 also has its amazing content-aware fill. Is there a plane in your sky that you don't want flying by? Just swipe over it with content-aware fill! Now you've got a perfect sky! I remember it used to take me forever to take random people or unwanted objects out of my photos & still make the photo look good. UGH! So many wasted hours of life! Now its like, swipe! Alright done! Maybe a few little touch ups here to make it look a little more natural... alright, now done! Its insane how much technology has changed between CS3 & CS5...

Personally, I love the s**t out of Photoshop. I use it mostly for colouring in my comics or making advertisements for people. Far & few are the occasions I actually use it to alter my photography. Still the fact that it can help me in almost every area of my art work is amazing. At first, yes, PS is a pain in the a** to figure out. The books on them are as thick as your arm, & teachers usually don't bother teaching you every function, but there's nothing you can't learn with a little dedication & self experimenting! On top of that, none of the damage you can do is permanent if you remember to constantly use layers. *blushes at the idea of being able to mess up & fix with next to no effort* I didn't think it was that difficult to learn how to use anyways, it was simple, easy for me & I caught on pretty quick on what to do & what not to do. I'm not perfect though, sometimes I still have to go back & review some basics with online tutorials.

Never worked with SAI before, but I've heard nothing but bad news from them. Lots of students I went to art school with had trouble dealing with it because it didn't offer as many tools as PS did.
